I give you this to think of when it comes to Nami's body changing - Teen under high stress and limited food from childhood will stunt the growth of the body. After she joins the crew the stress is gone, she's being fed nutriotiously (by Sanji) and she's aging into her latter teens. She's just growing into her body after years of it being limited in resources to do so. My cousin had a similar growth when she was out of her abusive home in her late teens.

I read a study that actually said that spoilers isn't ruining the series (well, some are) but that they make it easier for you to "get" the story. Also, while there might be hidden spoilers, I don't think this is a thing they do for fun. It's just a Japanese thing (and that is important) and sometimes its' hard to understand that. But according to that study, it said spoilers aren't that bad.

So it's not so much the Pirate Rap that is the cause of the beating One Piece took in the day so much as it was the hatchet job 4Kids performed in its localization. One Piece probably had more censorship performed on it than a television airing of Robocop: Sanji's and Smoker's smoking was edited out (and Smoker's name was changed to Chaser), all alcohol and almost all blood was removed (Luffy fights Crocodile with his sweat), and virtually all deaths were edited out (including Belemere's and Kuina's.) What's more is that entire arcs were removed for one reason or another (including Reverse Mountain together with Laboon.) Honestly we're better off without 4Kids being in charge of this series.

Not sure if anyone has said this, but all of the outfits and scenes in the earliest openings are straight form the colour spreads Oda draws!!! So technically they are used in the manga

i've heard the opposite from people who have watched hundreds of episodes in dub. Its what your used too, but i really can't see dub fitting. Japanese usually is better and i think for sure here too.

Luffy's Japanese voice actress is a woman 😭😭😭😭😭 she's an OG VA. She voices Krillin too from Dragon Ball. I don't mess with the English Dub either. The JP dub just fits their personalities so much better.

Maybe it's just a me problem since I don't see anyone else complaining, but this video was hard for me to watch since there was A LOT of pausing. I am fine with pauses, but it felt like there were 4 minutes of pausing per every 1 minute of showing the opening if that makes sense.

You know...I think that the only spoiler that is really bad is the Robin spoiler because she is literally one of the main villains at that point of the show but all of the other spoilers don't really spoil much because you don't really have context. I think it feels really bad only because you already know the context and now can see everything in a different perspective. Everything is clearer in hindsight, very few however can put two and two together with snippets of clips with no context between them.

You were talking about the 'X' tattoo at the end, I actually got mine done several years ago, and have come across 2 other people in real life in completely random public places (i.e. not anime conventions) that have the same tattoo. I don't know how anyone in chat can hate opening ten. That one panning shot of all the old characters was crazy. It's such a flex: "Look at all these cool people you've met over the past ten years," and the kicker is that you remember a lot of them. A lot of these characters probably aren't making it into the Netflix adaptation, you know? But opening ten is just like, "REMEMBER GAIMON?!"\

I enjoy fanmade subs a lot, now we get em faster from CR and Funi. But the fanmade usually had extra information in it, and often where more correct. And this karaoke sub was really cool :D

Watching these just reminds me why I dislike fansubs. I like my subtitles a lot more simplistic and small. I feel like putting too much in takes away from the visuals that I should be focused one. Rainbow Star's opening I felt was ruined by so much happening on the screen with all the extra test they have spinning, rolling, and changing color. The same goes for the fansubs that animate the move names. I'm just not a fan and I'll stick with my Funimation/Crunchyroll subbing.

That's not actually true. It's just a common thing that fans say all the time but it is false. That is not how copyright law works. We don't know exactly why 4Kids made their decision but the most likely explanation is probably the easiest. The closeness of the L and R in Japanese makes it more difficult to translate and they just went with Zolo.

I may be wrong but I believe the reason zoro is called zolo is because of the movie zoro that was released, as the official translation of the manga used zolo as zoros name, because they were scared of being sued for copyright infringement, kind of poetic really when you think about how hard toeh copyright clames one piece videos

I agree. Most stuff that people call spoilers in the opening are really only spoilers if you have already seen it. Usually it's just seeing characters and moments that just look like hype moments without any context. It just takes on a new meaning once you've seen it. The only opening that I consider having a big spoiler is the third one since that one shows Robin joining the crew while the anime is still in the middle of Alabasta. She is still a villain at that point and there is no reasonable reason for somebody watching for the first time to expect her to join the crew at that time. It just ruins the twist when she does join.

I advice you make an alternate account if you wanna watch something related to one piece cause the youtube algorithm will just put spoilers on your way like it did that one time in this video! I am not gonna say when but i am just saying it will be safer if you dont search up the one piece anime from your main account
