something to point out. theirs like 7(9?) some amount of paths i forget that lead here. your getting all of the pirates and criminals born in the grand line all coming here. all of the new world pirates going the other way (though probably very few but lolas crew counts) and all the pirates from all 4 blues converging here. on water 7 you only get the ones of that 1 path. and even then only people who want to go there. But everyone wants to go here its the converging point. so your getting 5-10x more people coming and because of the great filtering its only the strongest of the strong that make it. so while it is close to navy headyquarters unless you literally just have an admiral whose only job it was police the area you cant keep up. there is only 3 admirals for the entire world. they have other things to do and most the crime here benefits the nobles since its so much into the slave trade that they support so no ones really incentivized to stop it.

I posted this last week but I figured I'd show my math to make sure there's no confusion: Ruff is currently on episode 393, the anime is currently on 972. According to a list I found there are 30 filler episodes between here and the end, so that's the equivalent of saying that Ruff is on episode 423 if he skips them all. Therefore he will catch up to the anime when 972 + x = 423 + 6x. Solving for x, that makes 109.8 weeks. This would take us to June 9th, 2023. Also to clarify, I'm not saying this as a criticism for Ruff. He can take all the time in the world if he wants. That just means we'll get to enjoy this for longer.

Keep in mind though, the definition of "arc" in One Piece is kind of fluid. There's rarely a clear beginning-middle-end structure as there are in other mangas (with some exceptions like Thriller Bark). By some definitions this whole saga could be viewed as one arc so with the exception of 405 and 516 I don't think it really maters where he ends videos.

That doesnt work in english so the english pronunciation is "Sa-bow-dee"

Regarding the Sabaody pronunciation, the name seems to come from the Portuguese word for soap which is sabão and sounds close to sabon, I guess the soap reference is for the bubbles that is why is written sabaody but pronounced sabondy (although they say Shabondy)

The n is not an error, it is the proper pronunciation. The capital of Alabasta is Alubarna, and yes, R's and L's are hard to tell which should be which when translating. Alabasta can be either R or L, either are right depending on the translation.

arabasta i think is the capital of Alabasta and with Saboady, i think the narrator just mispronounced it. it happens. nevermind with ara and ala. its technically the same thing i guess but with japanese they tend to get their R's and L's mixed in so Ara and ala no matter how it sends to them is the same none the less. Saboandy is just an error.

This saga has 6 arcs, the first you already watch it, was de Duval arc, then is Sabaody, this ends at 405, 406 and 407 are filler, the third arc is 408-421, episodes 418-421 are filler for the manga but canon for the anime, so i think the best is you react to that, the next arc is 422-456, 453-456 are the same filler for the manga but canon for the anime, 457-458 are filler, 459-491 is the next arc, 492 is filler and the last arc is 493-516 and also the end of the saga.

Nah I think it’s fine since it wasn’t really hidden or left to be discovered detail, it’s just it’s been a while so ruff can’t remember. If he was saying to look at a certain someone’s IV’s and point out the logo and it’s relation to a certain playing card, then that would be a bit different since it is hidden in plain sight and it’s significance hasn’t been revealed yet, while with this one it’s just a neat connection to make note off. To me, pointing out little things that Oda had placed in earlier arcs when they become relevant is one of my favorite things about One Piece, and unfortunately sometimes so much time and content has passed that you don’t remember the earlier details to make those connections. Another example is that Nami talks about the revolutionary army all the way back in east blue, but even a lot of One Piece veterans don’t know that because it’s been so long. Some clarification on the name Sabaody: It comes from the Portuguese word for soap, which according to some sources online and at least 2 places where I listened to a guide on how to pronounce it, has an n at the end. Oddly enough, I believe "Sabaody Park ," the full phrase, usually makes the n sound go away for some reason. I say usually since I'm not certain if that is in every case.

This is going to sound super weird, but X Drake is actually pronounced “Diez Drake.” X is read as the Roman numeral for ten, and then it’s in Spanish as Diez.
