I remember seeing this in the movie theater as a child and after Neo took the red pill, I legitimately thought they spliced the wrong movie into the movie reel. It was such a curveball from what I was expecting that thinking they messed up the movie reel was more plausible than the twist that was happening on screen.

The Matrix is my favorite movie of all time and has fundamentally shaped who I am as a person. It's the movie that I can watch any time and have to restrain myself from reciting every line along with the characters. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie so much and are so excited to jump into the sequels! I've been defending them since they came out in 2003 and have felt like they are long overdue for a cultural re-evaluation, so I'm really looking forward to those reactions and potentially a reaction to Resurrections! Also, if you enjoyed this film I would definitely recommend Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is another one of my favorites. It takes a lot of inspiration from this movie while shifting the focus to a more intimate family story, but it's absolutely worth a watch!

This is the full length reaction, so if you pop my video here on one device/screen and load The Matrix on the another, you can sync up so we watch it together all the way through :) there is a 10 second countdown before it starts, and a timer on screen which tells you where we are in the movie! 💖 the early access edited cut down version that goes to YouTube later will be up tomorrow night here hopefully!
