Easing myself in 😂🫶

Hola my angels! Soooooo after much thought, I’ve decided to be an absolute WIMP 😂 and start my horror/thriller journey off with a comedy/horror 🫶

This has been recommended as the movie to start off my horror/thriller/zombie journey without me needing to sleep with the light on 🥺🫠😂

I’ve also been recommended I am Legend as a “zombie-ish” movie and it has a German Shepherd on the cover so what’s not to like about that… might have to get that watched too!

After which - I’ll be watching Alien and The Exorcist bc apparently I hate myself xoxo

More Breaking Bad over on YouTube Tonight at 7pm! 💚 plenty of movies in the pipeline for this year but I’m SO EXCITED for the next seasons of HOTD and The Boys 🤩

Zombieland is a fun ride, almost on par with Shaun of the Dead ❤️ So a good start ^^ Alien its a must 🖤 Like the Thing, Hellraiser and Event Horizon(which you smartly avoids for the time😛), it set the standard for scary in its subchangre ^^

On the one hand - great choice as it's in essence a comedy, a pastiche. On the other hand - so well, seriously made, it's got more jump scares and gore than some acclaimed serious works. Enjoy!

Awesome, a good dip into the scary pool, if you don't want to get your ankles wet, please consider "The Princess Bride". even if you have seen it before; In truth, I would love to see you take us through something you enjoyed or mattered to you. There is room for that kind of reaction.

Good choice. It's a fun film anyway, but it also doesn't need you to know your horror movie history to get the best out of it - a lot of modern movies contain knowing references to earlier 'classic' horror films. If you do intend to do more horror reactions going forward (and why wouldn't you?😁), it's worth looking at some of the films that started tropes or introduced horror icons including (in no particular order): Night of the Living Dead Texas Chainsaw Massacre Halloween Friday the 13th The Evil Dead Nightmare on Elm Street They're not necessarily always the best, but you'll love it when you see the references to them later 😁 (As a side-note, Scary Movie was mostly a parody of Scream, which was in itself a deconstruction of horror tropes. Or something.)
