Working on the Bacats
Added 2022-06-30 03:14:24 +0000 UTCSo for those who don't know I have a closed species that I've been working on and off for some time. I want to actually do something with this species - especially since it has two fursuits in the wild - so I'm working on updating the anatomy and creating the lore. The name Bacat was just a silly placeholder name for an equally silly species - and not a very creative one at that - but over time it's grown on me so I may just end up keeping it. As a species, the Bacats are different than other furry species as they are meant to fit in with a sort of Dungeons and Dragons esq world, as such I figured they'd work best as a creature that wizards go out of their way to tame into familiars, I thought that maybe they could even breath fire?
Up until now, I've always drawn them as a kemono-esq species but I want to see them drawn in different styles, as such I've created a more "realistic" anatomy sheet. I plan to continue to work on and develop these species. Since this is an ongoing project any Bacats that already exist may no longer adhere to the species guides, however, I don't want to disclude them. After all they were an important step in the creation of this species, as such I've decided that those rule-breaking Bacats will be an "extinct" species. Making them all the more unique and rare in this world!
That said I plan to make more adopts of this species as I continue to iron out the details, so keep an eye out for them!
