Hello friends!
August is coming to an end and I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for their (continued) support. I feel very grateful that I get to make my art the way I like it and that it resonates with people. ♥
Lately on Twitter I lamented the fact that I can't seem to find time for all the projects I want to be working on. As I've finished my latest commission batch, I sat down and made a rough plan for September, giving more time to personal projects such as my comic and website, and set days for Patreon related work. This is flexible, as I will likely spend some days with my long distance partner here and there (which still lets me do work, just might do fewer hours).
Sundays will be for character art that will appear on here: https://www.artbymue.com/characters
And for those who may not have seen it, my comic can be read for free on https://franticlive.artbymue.com!
Please be aware that this is a work schedule, not a posting schedule. So some days I might not finish a whole artwork or comic page - I don't like to rush things.
Nevertheless I wanted to give my patrons some insight on the amount of work I do each week/month. Each day I spend around 3-5 hours with my art and some odd 1-2 hours with administrative tasks related to it (this includes scheduling posts, social media, planning ahead/organizing, self promo, emails, etc).
Managing time as a freelance artist is tough! It's always a matter of experimenting and seeing what works and what doesn't. I'm excited to see what September brings!
