Shibari Shoot
Added 2025-01-31 19:58:46 +0000 UTCA collection of images form a shoot I did with Garth Knight that took upwards of 6 or 7 hours. It is a work of art. My personal experience with Garth was very liberating. It was intense, I had never done shibari before and was very new to the scene. I found it a way to reclaim my body by actively relinquishing control. Sub space is paradoxical. At one point he did need to pick me up and move me when I was already completely tied and I did feel like a stack on newspapers held together with cable ties being shuffled around the room. It was a surreal experience. These images are from Garths Pollinators exhibition and I think they are truly beautiful works of art. AI will never be able to imitate encapsulating experience and that is why I think we will always have flesh and blood artists as we move into this next wave of creation. All that to say... I think it was worth the rope burn.
