Update 0.12 (Finally) Released

Hey, guys. First of all, I'm really sorry for the countless delays on this. It turned out that I grossly underestimated the amount of time it would take to get the expressions added to the Prologue. The many bugs I had to deal with aside (I probably spent almost 10 days just fixing bugs with the new programming), I was way off-base with how long it'd take. Regardless, the new version is finally here.

Here's a quick list of changes:

I'd like to ask that if anyone spots a bug or typo, let me now. I won't pretend that this demo is perfect and there might be issues that I did not notice when playtesting (after all, I had to essentially playtest the entire game). Regardless, I hope you'll be able to enjoy it!

I dont know if someone else has informed of this one but in kei route on day 7 line 386 there is an error "new_widget" is not known by ATL Transform those small errors like a letter are the worst to find to be honest hahaha

They will all have more postures. It's just that I only got two for each at the start for budgetary reasons. Many expressions will be shifted to different postures at a later time x3

Fixed all of the errors you mentioned. The one in Shoichi_Day6 was especially stupid because... well... the problem was I wrote it as "dissolve(0.25)" instead of "Dissolve(0.25)"... basically, a little 'd' fucked it all up xD

Your VN is now my top favorite among the other VNs. I'm rooting so hard for Shoichi (as I have a thing for wolves/dogs in general), his expressions in game are so cool as well. However, his postures seem a bit off sometimes, like in the fight on 1st day with another wolf hmm. And maybe he can get more postures as well (like cover his mouth with his hands or something?). (Like Kei, he put his hands under his chin)

i found a couple of errors, jun changes to school clothes in the karaoke and in the tea shop during one line. also a "day 6 shoichi line 120 Dissolve object is not callable". And i dont know if its a bug or its not implemented but Gin and Jin have the same "avatar" when they talk. Im making screenshots of everything if you need them Anyway im loving the updates, the expresions and the little changes in the dialogue have really improved the experience

Thanks, I'm glad you like the game x3 Can you tell me what error it is? Just knowing what day it happens in doesn't give me enough information to fix it.

I don't know if it neccessary to point this out or not but your game is freakin' good and also hella cute too (ESPECIALLY JUN). I glad i found this game last month and i really hope there will be more soon. Oh i get an error on the piano day too.

It's funny. Looking at your script is like looking at a cisco configuration. At first glance at it, you think, "What the hell is all of this?" Then, when you actually read it, it's easy to follow along (though you may not know what it all means). ;)

Found and fixed it. It was a mix-up with the transition (I used 'with' instead of 'at' for the ATL transform). If you try to load a save that was inside this script, it'll hang, but if you go from 0 it'll run without issues. Thanks for the report :p

Ok. That makes sense, actually. I saw the main screen animation and was like, "Awwww!" and went back to watch it a few times and then noticed the portrait out of the corner of my eye. :) I haven't messed around with portraits yet so I didn't know how they worked.

I definitely have to thank her for making such high quality sprites for the game. I really love them and they made testing the game much more fun (it definitely gets a little stale reading my own writing over and over again ^^')

There have been quite a few changes early on that I haven't announced because... well, I don't see much point. It was mostly rewrites to either: A - Improve the quality of the writing to the level of latest updates (since I've gotten a lot less awkward with English since I began this project); B - Make it mesh better with continuity with events created later on ; or C - To show off the new expressions and outfits. Also, wish I had made your weekend 22 days ago :p

Yeah, I haven't found a way to make the character portraits actually animate. No matter what I do, they always just... show up there. Since they are automatic (you declare the image name for each character and when they talk the game tries to match up their portrait to the sprite shown on screen) the animations used for the actual sprites doesn't apply to them :\

Awww! Shoichi 'huffed'! Adorable! Though, the character sprite to the left of the text seems to animate faster and doesn't look as fluid as the onscreen Shoichi. Still, unexpected and adorable!
