EARLY ACCESS // lion, guinea fowl & kudu

I basically went back to some older sketches that I had made during a visit to the zoo, and revisited some of them, adding more definition and some more detailed studies alongside them with the help of photo reference. There’s also pics of how the sketches looked before I revisited them - when I was referencing animals from real life. I really struggle with that, so I hope to practice live drawing animals more in the future! Hope you enjoy these!

It's almost like abstract swirls that have gathered to create an animal form. It reminds me of a sketchy version of the work of Si Scott (he literally draws animals from swirling lines).
