EARLY ACCESS // demon girl

Finally finished this one! It started as a live demo sketch during a workshop I gave in Austria last November. I sat down to finish it and it ended up becoming a lot more detailed than planned! I just got carried away with it and really enjoyed working out the details. I also recorded part of the drawing process with my phone, I’ll post that video immediately after this one goes up :) Hope you like it!

How come you dont get lost in the hair??

How long did it take you ?

Just luv her ! 😍

Well you must live in a more interesting place than I do! Nothing wrong with black on black!

thanks! for me it helps to start really simple. I will post a step-by-step of this one at a later point so you can see how it went from a loose sketch to this version. it helps to work really loosely at the beginning and then let the perfectionism take more control later in the process :)

haha, all my clothes are variations of black sweater & black pants. i get inspiration from how other people around me dress, haha!

Loish

Where do you get clothing inspiration? I have the hardest time, partly because I dress like an old lady 😄

I need to really study this one. My work can get kind of stiff because I still haven't totally given up the tight control that stems from my perfectionism. Your work has a lot of movement and life to it; I'd like to be able to do that one day.

Thank you for sharing! Her fiendish yet playful looks and the lush coloration are really inspiring! ☺️

This is lovely.

Thanks. Looks fine. Looking forward to the process shots. I'm learning a lot. I particularly like the hair color transitions.
