I love doing quick studies and sketches - I always feel like I’m learning the most when I’m working fast and trying to translate something I see in front of me into my own style. It's uncomfortable while I’m drawing, feeling like there’s not enough time - but afterwards I’m always suprised by how I was able to challenge myself.
In the last few years, I’ve had less and less time to do quick sketches and studies - the priority always went either to client work, or to finished digital paintings. Oh, yes! I am a huge fan of Glen Keane. Definitely more from the little mermaid, but I was also a huge fan of Pocahontas!
