The Collective Mothership - Design Work (Update 2-23)

Update @ 10:48PM CST On 2/23/2021: Hello Everyone! I got the rest of the Conveyor Belt Battle Sprites roughed out during tonight's stream.  There is a bit of cleanup and additions to make but I'll be working through them while doing the lines/base colors.  I will most likely adopt the previous method where I will complete each of these sprites one at a time rather than doing lines/base colors, then shading everything.

Since we're moving away from the design portion of the Collective Mothership to work on the Conveyor Belt Sprites I'll be making a new post on Thursday revolving around that event.  I may adopt a new working practice where I will get the battle sprites done, On Map Event (Game Over), and then program it.  I would need to do a bit of programming in game to even have this event accessible, but it may be worth looking into since the previous method had long sessions of doing everything at once (Battle Sprites/Game Overs/On Map Events).

Previous Update On 2/21/2021:  Hello Everyone!  I got one more set of sprites done on tonight's stream.  I spent a good majority of it making sure the programming for this encounter would function properly since it went beyond the usual 3 sprite length I've done in the past with the Snake/Silk Worm sequences.  This one will come in at 6 or more so I needed to modify how sprites were applied and found a tentative solution. 

Part 4 involves the cast starting to have the first set of installments for their new mana battery positions.  I need to add a bit more for Selena's sprite still along with other adjustments but it is still the rough sketch.

Previous Update On 2/18/2021:  Hello Everyone!  Got Two more Parts rough sketched for the Conveyor Belt On Map Event.  Part 2 has the supplements injection causing breast expansion for better mana extraction along with some other added effects.  I may need to add a bit more including feeding tubes or something along the lines to add more effects for the cast.

Part 3 has them getting cleaned up in various fashions from roller brushes to slime baths to sprays.  Now that the cast is all clean, it's time to get them outfitted in their new gear!

Previous Update On 2/16/2021:  Hello Everyone!  I started design work on an On Map Event, the automated conveyor belt!  This is something I've wanted to do as an image sequence for quite some time and it will be featured in the game as an On Map Event that triggers combat but may be inescapable once things begin as the party is quickly and efficiently overwhelmed.  The first set of sprites is the conveyor belt stripping the party of their latex outfits to repurpose later in the sequence.

This also brings up a question that I've been wondering for along time and will be creating a poll about it soon once all platforms are aware of what I've been working on lately.  This section through the story and mechanics gives me the opportunity to add a fetish that is somewhat hit or miss with several people:  Futa content.  

I've seen other games handle it where there is a very clear message in game to enable it if the player wants to see it, otherwise it will not be featured in any of the scenes/area.  Given that this area focuses around Selena and her sexual preference (lesbian) the cybergirls ask if she would be interested in exploring other avenues of female intercourse outside of dildos through synthetic or otherwise organic methods.  They present her (and by extension the player) the choice to what they want to experience.  If enabled, it will include such content in events and some sprites (currently only the Conveyor Belt) which will completely change the artwork for some cases.  Otherwise there will be 'normal' sprites which will not contain such content.

This topic gives me the chance to slowly work up to drawing content that I usually don't draw (males) but also explores more fetishes that the game holds a variety for.  Please feel free to comment below your thoughts and opinions and be sure to vote in the poll.

Previous Update On 2/13/2021:   Hello Everyone!  Got the Cyber-Girl Enemy and a tentative Escaped Bio-Entity Designs finished up on tonight's stream!  It was a fun time streaming with everyone again.  I still need to plan out a few things such as On Map Events and such but we have a bit to work with for next week's streams with Peril Sprites and such.

Previous Update On 2/12/2021:

Hello Everyone!

After a bit of debate and helpful conversation with my wife I've decided to move on to the next new area, The Collective Mothership.

I will still be adding content to the Desert Path but as it currently stands it functions as a brief section before the Khrono Tomb the player passes through.  There is enemies and game overs to experience but additional content will appear as the player progresses instead of making it the sole focus of 0.6.0

With this decision made, we'll be focusing on the new, high-tech/sci-fi area where the party will encounter a different type of enemy.  Planning is still underway; however, I wanted to get some design work finished to help hone in the zone to what it will be.

The above image is the concept for the outfits that the party will be wearing in this new zone.  The party has been assigned specific roles in this new zone based on how they were scanned into the system.  It appears Selena has a bit more freedom than the others but more on that later.

I will be continuing design work during Saturday's stream with Enemy/Game Over Design Work along with On Map Events.  I will try and program a few of the ideas I have to make sure they function before diving too deep into this zone's mechanics.    I will also write up more of a roadmap as to what will be included with the 0.6.0 milestone update.

In summary so far, The Collective Mothership will tentatively include:

-Zone Specific Outfits (Party will be wearing specific outfits in this zone due to their new 'roles')

-Zone Specific Combat (Potential:  Due to their roles, Mira and Hemmy are locked in Mana Nullifying collars as the ship perceives them as Mana Batteries.  Selena has Sub Admin privileges that allow her to control some aspects of the ship along with her own mana source.)

-New Enemies (3 Normal Enemies, 1 Boss, potentially more)

-New On Map Events (On Map Events and Story Events for the zone in group format and solo, character specific scenes)

-(Potential "Corruption" Mechanic:  The ship is in dire need of long overdue maintenance that Selena can provide; however, each time she falls in combat the ship attempts to pamper her more to persuade her to stay)

You had me interested in the ship and what could possibly be in store in terms of enemies and perils. Now you got me hook line and sinker by just showing the vore tail on the bio entity. Definitely excited for that enemy, but I'm also still excited to see what else you got in store.
