Pokémon: My Titles Know No Limits! [485]

The Sea Temple trembled fiercely, a dazzling brilliance erupting from the Sea Crown, followed swiftly by a sensation of pressure.

“What’s happening…?”

“Are we rising?”

Everyone turned their gazes curiously toward Cogita, baffled as to why someone from Hisui could control an ancient underwater relic.

Could Cogita actually be descended from the People of the Water?

The group silently speculated, bewildered. August stared at Cogita, who, having triggered everything, now quietly stepped back as if none of this involved her. He couldn't figure out what she was up to.

Moments later, the shaking subsided.

Exiting the inner chamber, the group emerged outside to find the Sea Temple, previously submerged deep beneath the ocean, now floating gently atop the sea.

Sunlight streamed through the flowing water within the temple, refracting into a mesmerizing rainbow of colors.

“It’s beautiful!”

Blue quickly took out her camera, capturing the breathtaking sight.

At the temple’s edge, Kyogre calmly swam closer, still tugging along the hapless Groudon. The captured Pokémon hunters finally saw clearly the cause of their miserable fate.

“Kyogre…!”

They swallowed nervously, hearts pounding, especially when realizing that Kyogre was casually pulling Groudon behind it. Any lingering thoughts of escape or revenge instantly vanished.

Losing to August and Kyogre…there was no shame in that!

Just as the hunters consoled themselves, another ship suddenly approached in the distance.

“Are they more Pokémon hunters?” Platinum asked warily, clutching Manaphy in one arm and gripping a Poké Ball tightly in the other, ready to contribute if needed.

But after a brief glance, August shook his head reassuringly. “They’re not Pokémon hunters.”

Not only were they not hunters—they were old acquaintances.

As the ship drew closer, Cynthia and the others could finally see clearly:

Two uniformed Pokémon Rangers stood proudly on the bow.

On the ship, Gary pointed accusingly at August, a look of resentment written all over his face.

“You never mentioned you’d go on such an exciting adventure!” Gary complained bitterly.

August shrugged innocently. “I distinctly remember asking if you wanted to come. Weren’t you busy training with Silver? How is this my fault?”

Gary hesitated. Thinking back, August might possibly, perhaps, maybe have invited him…but he’d been caught up in an intense battle against Silver and declined without much thought…

“But who could’ve guessed your trip would end up being so epic!” Gary lamented.

Like August had said, it was entirely his own fault.

However, after this incident combined with previous experiences, Gary reached one inescapable conclusion: being around August greatly increased the chance of encountering legendary and mythical Pokémon.

He suspected August was some kind of magnet for legendaries.

Determined to catch his second legendary Pokémon, Gary made up his mind: no matter where August went next, he would stick close by.

August grinned knowingly. “Are you sure about that?”

“I’m certain!”

“In that case,” August chuckled slyly, “you can join me on a quick trip to International Police headquarters as a note-taker. It'll give Blue a well-deserved break, anyway…”

Gary stared blankly. “Huh?”

“What ‘huh’? Pack your things, we’re heading out soon!” August called back cheerfully.

Watching August’s retreating figure, Gary had the sinking feeling he'd just been tricked.

But since he'd spoken up himself, all he could do now was grit his teeth and endure…
