
This week we made progress in several categories.
The bonus scene illustrations are coming along nicely. There is quite a bit to do so it's a bit longer than expected but as usual we are taking the time to make quality work.
Another part of the work consisted in setting up some dialogues and checking that they work well. We also started to put in some of the sound effects (which usually happens later).
And finally, the changes to the battle system are going well!
We are still working on the skills, which takes a lot of time because some effects need more extensive changes than others.
On the other hand, we have almost finished the interface change. There are still some elements to add or modify but you can have a preview of the new look:

We wanted to emphasize a bigger "fighting" aspect and to unclutter the interface. We removed unnecessary elements and refined some elements that were a bit too "rough".
You can see, below the health bar of each character, an icon that indicates which type (Power, Speed...) the character is in. Note that the system that displays the damage of a skill does not update according to the state of the opponent: it is up to the player to realize that they can deal a critical hit and to choose if they want to do so.
Finally, the new position of the characters is intended to allow us some nice things in terms of animations later.
