Major Flavor Blues Guitar Lesson - Three Classic Licks!

Hello friends,

and welcome back to Swiftlessons for another lead guitar tutorial. Becoming a confident and versatile soloist is all about mastering one technique at a time through slow, patient, and careful repetition. In this tutorial I'll be introducing how to add a bit of major flavor into you basic pentatonic licks, and breaking down three classic phrases for you to add to your repertoire. Let's get started!

P.S. Thanks to your support, I have been able to upgrade my rig in a way that makes creating lessons much easier and professional! This is my first lesson shot on a new Canon Mark IV, I hope you notice the improved video and audio quality.

Excellent!

Hi Rob, the usual "Hello friends.." is missing in the video.

Generally speaking, the major 3rd is implemented over the I chord. But, if you time them right, these licks can be used between changes going back to the I chord as well.

Super nice, are the licks mainly for the I cord or also for the IV and V cord?

Great stuff Rob! Nice sound, feel, everything.

Quist

Yes! :-)

no sure if you received message , can you extend this lesson to 4 and 5 chord

Great news, tomorrow virtuoso singer Stefany Mazor is coming in to help me break down the remaining sections of "Shallow." Expect that up in the next few days. Enjoy your practice!
