Full Circle 🌕🐺

Some of you may remember this post from my early courtship with Max. I was still flustered and hadn’t made a move, and social circumstances kept finding me in the most embarrassing and silly conversations with Max in earshot. Like, “I wish the floor would open up and swallow me whole” type of conversations.

On one occasion during a coven hang (almost a year and a half ago now) the conversation kept circling back to my monster fucker fantasies, specifically my kink for werewolves. I wasn’t thrilled about this because I was legitimately trying to not look like a huge weirdo in front of this hot lesbian babe. Usually strange fantasies are our coven’s conversational bread and butter, so there was nothing unusual about Mars rambling about her vampire lust and Ms.O circling back and musing out loud to me “So then why don’t you kink on vampires Heart, is it the lack of claws?” This was a completely normal inquiry but I had been trying to divert the focus from my monstrous proclivities ALL NIGHT. I laughed her question off and redirected, smiling nervously at Max across the room.

It’s something we joke about now, she teases me about it in that good-natured way that makes me blush. She knows me well enough now to know how flustered I really was in those early days.

Last weekend we were deciding what to watch, she has a thing for 80’s horror movies. (American Werewolf in London is her favourite ha ha ha.) She was trying to convince me to watch The Thing and I was joking about being less interested because the monster wasn’t hot. She hesitated for a second and then said, confidently “I get why you don’t like vampires.” I immediately knew she was referring to O’s question two summers ago, I could feel my cheeks burning pink.

“Vampires are too stuffy,” she explained. “They’re smart and well dressed and you like that dirty mechanic vibe.” I swallowed hard, and nodded. She continued, “You need that rough around the edges, not some fucking uppity fucking Dracula.” I love how well she articulated the difference. I would have never phrased it that way, but she was right on.

“Yeah, I like the animalistic aspect. I don’t want a lecture I just want to be ripped apart. So I guess it’s also the teeth. Two fangs? Pshhh. I want that whole jaw full of sharp teeth against my throat.” I was rambling now, “My little weirdo,” she says, squeezing my thigh. But I feel better knowing she understands.
