How are things where you live?
Pandemic things are improving here but the ominous 2020 vibe persists.
I’m bored at home binge-watching Succession. Do any of you watch it? I’m half way through the 2nd season and I’m obsessed.
I’m from a really big family so I’ve always been obsessed with shows that capture the madcap dynamics of a gaggle of siblings. Growing up there were lots of them, Full House, Fresh Prince, Party of 5, we used to watch and say “that would be us!” I have 4 siblings, all brothers, there’s a funny piece of the puzzle for anyone who has followed for a long time.
Arrested Development is another good one. Their rivalry and inside jokes really nail the real life experience. Anyway Succession would be better if Shiv or Roman were gay, but I fucking love Tom, the whole premise of his character is hilarious and the execution is fantastic. Also Jeremy Strong is such a great actor, watching him as Kendall is a pleasure.
Other things I’ve watched lately that you might like (because if your 2020 has been going like mine maybe you’re running out of things to watch?): The Octopus Teacher (hour and a half long nature documentary that shakes your heart a little), I May Destroy You (incredible writing and one of the best looks at sexual assault and recovery I’ve seen, trigger warning for sure because it’s heavy shit), The Great (it’s the best and I’ve watched it twice!).

2020-09-27 19:51:44 +0000 UTCI recently got into watching only rural British murder shows. (lol.) Hinterland, Shetland, and of course (it's urban but I'll make an exception) Killing Eve. And watching Dead to Me on Netflix Party with my partner. things where I live are .... fine?? Mandatory masking feels good (to me). Cases are still going up since schools opened. but the fall colours are out & it's very beautiful. <3

2020-09-27 16:35:46 +0000 UTCdamn, those are some nice titties, and gifs thereof. my partner and i have been watching Star Trek Deep Space 9 for the last several months, we finished season 6 about a week ago, decided we needed a light break, watched season 2 of Making It (a delightful crafting competition show hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman!), got back to a couple episodes of Star Trek, and then Netflix told me that it finally had The Good Place season 4, so we watched, uh, three hours of that last night. locally things are pretty ok! my state is not doing great with pandemic response, but we could also be fucking up a lot more, but my city is doing relatively well. but then there's just a pall of terror re: supreme court and election, so, all that really sucks. i'm going to the beach today with a couple of newish friends and my partner and i are both excited about our *very* attractive new swimsuits (and also about the beach, and about seeing friends)!!

I do know, I’ll never be that organized person I always thought I could be if I just had the time. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m assuming you’ve seen Schitts Creek, Dead to Me was good, and I liked the Good Son.
