Tyson Figures Final! 🐉 (Noodity)

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a great Weekend! Tyson's figure page and his updated look are now complete! A lot of changes here, but I'm liking how he turned out!

Some of the biggest changes were to his face, his wings, tattoos and wardrobe. With his face, Like with Reighli's I wanted to incorporate some more of the "wedge" shape into his head, and included some more stereotypical dragon features, by making them more sharp and adding scales. His colour pallet has expanded to incorporate more dark hues arounds his face, and extremities. He also now has some of that natural eye shadow in teal 😌

I tried including his tattoos again, but after putting them in, decided that I didn't like how busy it made the area look, plus with him having scales now, I thought that it might not be as feasible. So I instead changed the jewelry he was wearing into a sort of permanent gold pattern, and added some extra parts around his eyes and on the shoulder that once had the tattoo.

His wings have changed a bit too. Initially, it was a part of Tyson's lore, that he was born with abnormally small wings for his kind, and so he was never capable of flight. I still want to keep that idea, but I wanted to expand on it so that it was more apparent and visible. The first idea was to make them even smaller... but then it wouldn't necessarily read as "this guy can't fly" for all the person looking at him knows, flight could involve magic or something, or the wings could just be more representative, and he could still fly. So then I thought more about it, and remembered the guardian character from Nightreign. I think when we see extreme asymmetries on a character, in places that would normally be symmetrical, it's more visually striking, but can also be great opportunity for visual story telling. I think FromSoft did a great job in doing that with that bird. 😂 So... Without actually removing or disfiguring his wings, I just made one of them smaller. Hopefully it's more apparent now.

As for his clothing, Tyson is very much a monk-style character (at least in DnD terms) in that he's a martial artist. In spite of his disabilities and shortcoming as a Draconic Royal, (and having been Exiled from the Royal Family and Dragon kingdom in general), he was able to find refuge with a Master (non-dragon) who would teach him discipline, and train him to fight. I wanted his updated clothing to reflect that more.

Lore-wise, I don't have as much on Tyson as I do with say Reighli and Cypress, and so I'd still like to narrow down a few specifics before sharing. So next time I draw him, I'll include a more developed version of his backstory, vs the bits and pieces I've just included here today. 😂
