Waiting for ya to watch the End of an Era docuseries and TTPD section of the concert film 🙏🏼

haters fuckoff, this one still the biggest album of 2025 so stop barking and go listen to your flop favs lol. if u want depth, folklore, evermore and ttpd are on spotify too! ;)

This album got worse for me over time. There's no substance, there's no depth, it's all just surface level pop slop. Looking forward to the next project as well.

I find most of this album enjoyable enough, but my God, the fan theories of what each song was going to be about were so much more interesting than half of the real lyrics. I really liked the idea of Eldest Daughter being about Taylor's status in the industry, and then the real song turned out to just be a slew of internet memes and corny slang.

Love this honesty and I mostly agree. With a little over month since the album came out, the only songs I still have on rotation are "The Fate of Ophelia," "Elizabeth Taylor," "Eldest Daughter," and the title track. Not the best album for me, but I am glad it is hitting with others.

I also felt shockingly disappointed by this album. Taylor has been my favorite artist since 2006 and before TLOSG, reputation was the only album I didn't connect with...and I LOVE her other albums. I have always loved her as a person even more than I love her music, so I never left her fandom, but just waited patiently for the next album. When a new album releases, I always have a teeny tiny fear that I'll feel the way with I felt with reputation again, but never expected to feel even more disappointed than I was with rep. Even though reputation has never been my vibe, there are a handful of songs in my rotation/playlists and I understand the quality of the art (+ it's great live). With TLOASG, there are a handful of songs in my rotation (The Fate of Ophelia, Opalite, Ruin The Friendship, Honey & TLOSG), but I would skip over 7 of the tracks. I'll just wait to see what she puts out next - there's an 83% chance I'll love it!

missed ajay's vids so i had to sub to the patreon but i loved the album but i also loved this reaction. ajay is just so honest and you can tell that she really cares about the music. my only comment is that through this reaction my brain connected opalite to rain on me by lady gaga and ariana grande, in that they're two songs i would listen to on a bad day, probably crying as i run through a storm trying to get home lol

Jess G.

we don't want a revisit, the album is trash as it is

W

its really not

Deys

girl are you deaf??? his is a whole masterpiece.. hear it more than once!

Superpower

I demand revisit

It’s catchy and boppy but I wouldn’t gravitate towards the album at the end of the day. I think my biggest gripe with it is that it feels… uninspired? it feels like she just put it out there on a rush. I agree with you that she may need some time off on writing

Coleen Glenn

I think yal forgot we talking about the same person who wrote Shake it off Come on .... This album is amazing only 1 balad something diferent of her last one which was super dramatic

Kilder

im a hardcore swiftie and did not like it either hahaha but still i think she's gonna make it big for the next one, hopefully she really listens to the fans mostly on genz/internet writting on her songs, idk just like you said seems lazy, cause she really knows how to make fun bubbly songs, opalite is actually really good, but yeah, i think she just went experimenting with this one and maybe is the type of language she is now used (cause of travis) so she maybe thought it everybody would be on tuned but, it felt off

Pau Espejel

I have not enjoy the album, I think the production was lazy for me, missing more instruments, melodys, harmonys, etc. because I know she got the pen but no the notes, boring for my ears.

people telling you to watch a movie or a track-by-track to understand this album is crazy work lol is mid, you're allowed to dislike it, they can't all be 10s

Marjory

y’all cannot be serious with these 4 paragraph explanations as to why it’s actually good. i don’t want to have to know some layered backstory for every song in order to appreciate it. sure, there’s an audience for that, and they might love it. but it’s not accessible to the average listener and the average listener ain’t doin all that.

patty

When people used to say Olivia's songwriting was very young.... Honey, wish list, they're very teenage girl coded. But like.. 13 year old, not even 18.

Juliane Lemes

Don’t worry her next album is her 13th , it will be for sure something big

Perhaps only creators can truly understand and appreciate each other. George Michael, the original singer and songwriter of "Father Figure," spent his entire life unable to win back the master recording rights to his own music from Sony Music. However, when Taylor Swift sampled and adapted this song, reinterpreting it from a female perspective and telling a completely transformed story, she didn't just simply label it as a sample. Instead, she directly added George Michael himself to the list of creators, thereby ensuring with certainty that George Michael could receive the benefits as a creator of this song.
