I think of all the work that Jack Antonoff did (main producer on this album, also on NFR and tunnel by Lana and all of Taylor albums since 1989 especially Midnights), this is the most prolific and creative he’s ever been collaborating with another artist. the more time passes, the more assured i am that melodrama is genuinely a classic in the vein of stuff like sgt peppers, dark side of the moon, thriller, etc. lorde was so ahead of the game, creating such a singular sound and songwriting style that nobody has managed to replicate even though many have rightfully tried to emulate its greatness, and all because she followed her heart and her immense creative instincts. the only album in recent years i can think of that has come even close to what melodrama does is hit me hard and soft, and even that owes a lot of its existence to melodrama. lorde could lowkey retire off of this album alone, even though im sure she'll come thru with more great stuff whenever she's ready 💙 (also solar power is underrated imo 💛)

I'm sure my comment will get lost in all the request but i agree with you Ajay, this album is perfection and absolutely timeless. I listen to it once a year (around winter time) and each time i have a new favorite. At the time it was Perfect places, another year it was Green light and Homemade dynamite, nowadays its Supercut and probably will be a new one next year. Any way no skips, this album is a BANGER. I find a new meaning in the lyrics or mayve my life situation matches with it idk but anyway, its an musical experience.
