Oh So Hero! Dev Preview #45

This development preview will give you a look into new features coming to Oh So Hero!

The game's two directors, Ket & Red, comprise the programming and art/animation sides, respectively.

Here are their updates!

Ket's Update:

Hi everyone! We hope you are doing well~

I've been networking with folks and furs to find more help for Oh So Hero! It's a challenge to find the right people for the job, but I'm doing my best to make sure everyone's working efficiently and putting their sharpest skills to use in the right places. My goal now is to wrap up the last of the Act 1 post-release updates so we can move onto Act 2. This will be aided by a couple new faces helping us out: BraixenFan on Publicity, and Hexeia on Localization.

Introducing BraixenFan! As his name implies, he's a Braixen-enjoyer, but he's also a huge fan of Oh So Hero! He has proven experience with publicity, and has shown great initiative in putting together plans to improve our public presence and engage with the community more frequently (very helpful as we're usually oh so focused on game dev!). He's already begun touching up our website at ribbit.fun and spreading the word of Oh So Hero! on social media. There's a lot more he'll be getting to in the coming months that I'm looking forward to as well~

Hey everyone! I'm sure you've all noticed the socials have gotten a little more active, the website has gotten a little prettier. Well, that's because of Full Frontal Frog's newest member, your friendly fellow fox connoisseur: BraixenFan! I'll be the guy behind getting you the newest, hottest details on Oh So Hero! I'm super happy to have joined the team and I'll do my best to help the game, and its community too, grow! I was allowed to plug in my work, so I invite you to watch my A Hat in Time mod Trailer so you can both see my work, and also get excited about what I hope to bring to this frog-shaped table in the future!

Thanks, Braix! In other news, I've finished all the code needed for localizing Oh So Hero! But I also have a lot more code to write and people to manage on a regular basis, so I've asked a longtime friend and experienced game developer to help manage Act 1 localization: Hexeia! If you are in our patron Discord, you can read Hexeia's full introduction in #osh-public, or you can DM Hexeia on Discord!

Hexeia will begin contacting people to help translate the game into several languages. If you've filled out the Contributor Skill Survey, then good job~ you're already on her list! We wanted to get your attention on this so you don't miss out. That being said, if you get a message from Hexeia, please respond! We wish you luck, and hope you're able to join our localization team!

Red's Update:

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.

We've been rather busy ramping up towards Act 2. I wanted to give you guys a preview of Act 2 content.

Act 2 will split into two objective paths. One towards the underground ruins and another towards the rooftops centered around city content. I wanted to share some of the city's upcoming enemy designs. A squirrel design we had shown off a while ago and a biker dude.

Our Biker dude will have all their interactions with Joe while on the bike!

Act 2 will feature much more dialogue and story elements. 

We're prepping dialogue assets and such.

Our next post will cover more plot-based character interactions and new previews of ACT 2 stages and environments.

Oooo us act two a kinda mad max theme because with the motorcycle one I can kinda see a double interation with at least another motorcycle enemy but I can not wait to see what comes from act two
