If you remember, when Wei Ying came back after Wen Chao threw him in the Burial Mounds for 3 months, Lan Zhan wanted to take him back to Gusu and hide him there to protect him. That's exactly what LZ's father did to his mother, after she killed his teacher and became a criminal in the eyes of the world. The song Lan Zhan wrote is called "WangXian" (a combination of both their names - Lan WANGji and Wei WuXIAN). I guess my boy was too shy to say it out loud to the object of his affections 😂😂 (how romantic tho, if my man doesn't compose a song for me I don't want him!!)
