April 6 Update

Soon I will be taking the vacation that I've discussed. After intending to take a vacation in 2024 and putting it off all year, I made my reservations at the financially optimal time in order to lock myself in this year, even if my opinion changed.

Well, it changed, and if I could get a refund, I would. =/ Getting out a TLS update and running the Kickstarter at the same time was taxing, but worse than that, I needed to do a lot of writing on Depthless Hunger (in order to make space for focused TLS postgame work) and I didn't. This could potentially wreck the rest of my year and at minimum the time after my vacation is going to suck.

Anyway, I'm not here to leave you on a negative note! In keeping with all these tenth anniversary and reflective posts, I have another relic of the past for you: the original TLS April Fools' Day build. Read on first, but you can download here:

As is probably obvious, I like very silly jokes. For the first April 1 after TLS had started, I put out the above joke build, except that I released it for patrons days earlier and pretended it was a remake. If you play, you'll see notes about this.

Unfortunately, the responses weren't really great. Some people took it seriously and were upset, some got the joke and were still upset, and only a few people seemed as entertained as I was. And so I scrapped all my future plans for April Fools' Day jokes (I had a whole annual tradition planned).

If you are an old patron, the build is the same as what you'll remember, but I've added a bonus room! This has a bunch of new text, showing off various assets such as character sprites before their remade versions, or notes about unused assets. Hopefully everyone will be entertained this time. ^-^

Seriously, it went from ~1300 files at 3 GB to 2800 files at 6 GB. @_@ I hadn't updated the pack in over a year.

Anyway, with this posted, I am now trying to shift into vacation mode. Weekly posts will continue as usual, as I have prescheduled a number of things for you. They include some commissions from Annikath, like sexy vacation pictures and even little comics.
