I wanted to share some of my experience talking to detrans people, who decide for internal/personal reasons to stop transitioning - for a small number of people, that does happen. Detrans people might not continue to socially or medically transition for maaaany many reasons, and those without external factors are definitely a minority, but they are around. But they very, very rarely are transphobic or go on this anti-trans tyrade. Trans people (and people who think they are trans, but end up detransitioning) often hit rock bottom mental health wise before they make some kind of change related to their transition - whether that's coming out, socially transitioning, or taking steps towards medical transition. For a lot of people INCLUDING detrans people, if they were not able to do whatever that necessary step was for them at the time, they may not have lived long enough to change their mind about it. I have heard some detrans people who were in this boat say that they can't regret their transition when they look back on it, because it's the reason they made it through a really, really tough time in their life. For a lot of detrans people too, their support network and friend groups are often made up of other trans people and queer people, who ultimately helped them to work their shit out. It'd be a real slap in the face if a detrans person turned around and said "listen to me, because, hear me out, I'm always right about everything: you're all infected with the woke mind-virus!" TLDR - I think a lot of these vehemently anti-trans detransitioners are... I don't know... Sellouts? Grifters? Flakey, worst friend you've ever had vibes? It's just extremely odd behaviour from everything I know about irl detrans people. Detrans people have MUCH more in common with trans people rather than cis people.
