The Crummy Behavior of Under-The-Radar Tech Ceos - EARLY ACCESS, AD-FREE, AND UNCENSORED

Hi. In today's episode, we look at some tech CEOs who may not make the headlines as much as your Musks and Zuckersberg, but who nonetheless have a huge (negative) impact on our society with their anti-worker, privacy-shattering decisions.

Audio version attached.

Right?! They are always funny but this one really got me.

I think it’s pronounced Shitter. And when you type a message and send it, that’s a skeet.

Also, weirdly enough, I recently had a nightmare that ended in something similar to sperm badminton. I won’t elaborate on how it’s similar because I’m too traumatized but trust me when I say it was worse!

The worst part of the Twitter rebrand as X is that I can no longer refer to the past tense of “tweet” as “twat”

One thing about net neutrality - the threat isn't really about slowing down certain internet traffic, it's about cable companies turning the internet into cable packages. Imagine: "Your data limit is exceeded for Disney, additional data costs $0.90/Kb unless you upgrade your internet package or watch your favorite shows on HBO with your free unlimited HBO data included in your plan. Reply STOP to end." 🤮

Nice Jordan Peterson impression at the end

Gotta say, being referred to as a shadow worker is way fucking cool than a contractor. Thank you for bringing them up, most people arent aware of how endemic they are. I worked for a major ISP that everyone rightfully hates for 6 years as a contractor. My manager is an ISP employee, all my requests for anything go through ISP management, and yet I receive no benefits. And my Contract agency, is not involved in anyway other than taking a huge cut of the money I earn. I have worked for agencies that I never spoke outside of hiring, ever. Functionally they are always identical in responsibilities to employees, almost always report to employees, but get no benefits.

Love the Laura Linney bits. So fun.

Steve Snyder

Yeah I was pretty disappointed Nadella wasn't covered, Microsoft has a long history of fucking all kinds of things over behind the scenes

James Lynch

You missed Satya Nadella.

Bertrand Le Roy
