I was shocked to hear it go unchallenged as well. Given the current state of things pushing the idea that anarchy means chaos will get thousands of people who actively work to make the world a better place killed, maimed, or imprisoned. Anarchists have been warning about/fighting fascists for decades and it's upsetting to see them done so dirty by people with such a large platform.

2020-08-31 13:30:57 +0000 UTCI really don't want to be that person but I have a note about the episode. Anarchy does not mean "chaos." It means "no hierarchy." The idea that a lack of hierarchy means things will be chaos and madness is propaganda going back centuries. Anarchists advocate for systems of organization that are horizontal and do not give individuals authority over others. Anarchist theory spans centuries and much of it explains in detail how these systems work and ways they have been employed in the past. A lot of the people currently out in the streets providing medical/food/jail support for protesters are anarchists. Dismissing their beliefs as "chaos" is pretty hurtful and does anarchists a huge disservice. I'm not trying to be a tyrant, I just wanted to bring attention to an issue with how something is being framed.
