2021-01-15 12:03:42 +0000 UTCYou know, I had never killed an animal, excluding insects, and have had to dispose of a few mice caught in a mousetraps, I lived in a country area so when it got cold, we'd have an occasional mouse. But last year I had to kill a squirrel, our dogs caught one and it was too damaged to live and I had to put it out of it's misery and bury it. Even when I was young and went hunting with my uncle for doves I couldn't even bring myself to kill the ones that were still somewhat alive. I was 39 before I killed a mammal directly and I felt bad about it. So I can definitely relate to Emma's fears.
