If it was anti aether then I doubt there would have been anything to suc plus earlier it was stated that all living things have aether in them. Elias would have to be undead for him to have something like anti-aether. Poisonous/corrupted (demonic) aether makes a lot of sense as a possible inheritance from his mother.

Second that color aura/aether is VERY interesting of a choice because to my knowledge it's associated with 2 (possibly 3?) relevant possibilities. 1 that is the color of royalty from a historical POV. I consider this the least likely option but the 2nd, Poison/Dark aether. If he manifested his own aura and cut off what it needed (corrupted/poisoned) it.....that's incredible. Amazing job!
