I remember at the end of the first part of this series many moons ago that Mel and the nanobots inside her are having a conversation about feelings she and Blume might have for each other. I think the nanobots have made this melon clone of Mel to kind of make her jealous and get the bravery to make a move on Blume. Or I could be 100% wrong who knows?
