I totally agree. I'm not expecting anything like HUGE plot wise, though i think what I preferred with Amphibia's mid season verse The Owl House's is that it felt more natural building... verse forced? We knew Eda has been dealing with her curse stuff for a long time, but somehow suddenly it's just now getting "bad" and becoming more difficult to control. I think now that i thought more about this, that is the bad difference... I feel like it's just too much of a coincidence that the curse is getting bad .

2020-04-09 04:14:47 +0000 UTCFirst seasons are usually setup. I don’t expect too much in terms of plot progression. And if I stop and think about it, what is the “plot”? Right now, Luz has no goals, yet, other than “learn magic”. Adora wants to save Etheria. Anne wants to find a way home in Amphibia. Dipper wants to solve the mystery of Gravity Falls. Rapunzel wants to learn the secret of her hair. These protagonists have a basic premise for their first season. Luz doesn’t, yet. We learned about Eda’s curse, there’s something about the Emperor’s Coven. And that’s it so far. Though to be fair, Amphibia had even less by their mid season.
