Oh I also forgot to mention the rest of season 1 is 100% not canon tho as a manga reader I will say they did a good job but there’s a lot of it completely out there, I’m sad to say I don’t think they will continue blue exorcist unless they realllly want to correct everything that they have made like once again I will mention full metal alchemist and full metal alchemist brotherhood!

2020-03-30 04:05:30 +0000 UTCBasically episode 16 is the cut off on where the actual plot for the series ends and continue into season 2 that’s because the manga updates very slow (I am all caught up trust me i have been waiting forever for it to update maybe five months now?) so the anime caught up wayyyy too fast so they made their own ending you can think of it like the first full metal alchemist series! But I can tell wait to finish work and watch your reaction to this show!

There's actually a second season known as Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga that was released after the first season, but it actually takes place before the end of the first season. Basically it's like you got the first 16 or 17 episodes, the second season (which was released like 6 years later) and then the rest of season 1. I do know the second season is from the manga, but not having read the manga I don't know if there are other seasons they may do to slide into other places. But for those who haven't watched the series that may be something to keep in mind if you wanna keep watching it to actually see the story in order.
