I'm curious how the different mythologies are involved especially with this 'ritual' and Arthur inbound. The author is making such clear references to other culture's mythologies like Arthur, Faerie, and Dragon being from British mythology, Ogun's a war god from the Caribbean/Yoruba pantheon, Vulcan, Titan, and Juggernaut are Greek, etc so I'm curious how those folkstories are gonna be reshaped and play out; this author's stuff is always fun. I'm also more excited after this episode to see certain characters from Soul Eater's backstories just for the nostalgia.

Thereโ€™s some chance the Titan wasnโ€™t /actually/ gonna do anything. All the damage it did was after getting fired upon, because humanity presumed it was an infernal. Even if it made it to land, thereโ€™s odds it would have just wandered in a direction (though, like, it stayed real close to the pillar despite being shown moving โ€˜forwardโ€™). . The Cataclysm was a failure because (according to Sumire) they didnโ€™t have โ€œenoughโ€ pillars /and/ they werenโ€™t strong enough (whether โ€˜theyโ€™ were the pillars themselves or humanity, unspecified).
