Helly said "All the Marks are belong to us." XD
Also I just realized it after watching this a second time but Kier Egan killed his brother in this forest. Holy sh*t!
Apparently, the brother got sick from the Ether, and was slowly dying. If the story Milchick told is to be believed. I don't think the "pus" analogy was about the white stuff, but rather actual puss. His eye popped out, hair fell out - those are signs of radiation poisoning.
I'm pretty sure that's how his brother died.
I now think this whole thing is about bringing Kier back to life.
And Kier will try to implant his dead brother's "consciousness" into his own brain through severance.
I believe Erza is right, because they probably do have goats down there to test cloning. And if they have that many, they HAVE to be doing it on a large scale.
Cold Harbor is probably the first human trial, which is probably scheduled to be Gemma!

Saw someone else put it a clean way, that where Harmony was for the cult but not the company, Milchick is for the company but not the cult.

In episode 2, when he makes his call at the payphone, subtitles clarify what he’s saying. Something along the lines of “the message got through.”

My personal take is that Milchick felt undermined by Helly. She laughed and at him pretty much and got the other to engage. He didn’t like she made a joke out him.

I couldn't say anything in comments to not spoil anything, but I was really surprised you guys were never suspicious of Helly not being innie Helly. There was so many hints that she was still the real person working with these innies =). This forest trip was trippy in the fullest meaning of the word.

Innie or outie, Irv is my favorite too: badass detective, secret rebel, sharp as hell, and a passionate man. We had many small hints that we were dealing with Helena instead of Helly: she took an oddly long time to turn on the computer, lied about her outside experience (which innie Helly would absolutely use to her advantage), immediately noted the 'removed camera' in MDR (who needs cameras when she’s the mole?), acted off when Mark tried to kiss her in the goat episode—plus more subtle signs.
But here’s the wild part: Irving saw through her instantly in 2x1. That’s why he only told Dylan about the hall with the elevator. This absolute legend sacrificed himself so they could get Helly back.
This is how he knew she was an Eagan: if you look closely, the letters in his dream spelled EAGAN repeatedly, the symbols formed Helena’s face, and Woe was in Helly’s MDR spot. His outie had tried passing info before to his innie—staying up late, blasting loud music, and obsessively painting that infamous dark hall. He tried to be as tired as possible so his innie could fall asleep and dream it. That didn’t really work because Milchik kept waking him up the second he dozed off. But he got it at the end in 1x9 with the overtime contigency.
Turns out severance isn’t as airtight as they think—memories potentially leak through dreams. Even if he’s not reintegrated (as far as we know), outie Irv was still deeply connected to his innie.

If you listen to the story they are reading it 100% sounds like the guy died from jerking. "Unfastened himself" "His every thrust found rhythm" "as he spilt his lineage upon the soil". Tell me that doesn't sound like it.

Mr. Milchick really is giving Dora the Explorer.
Miss Huang killing it on the theremin during the campfire tho.
This episode was wild.
I think Milchick was “trying”… but yeah, he’s a believer or a company man, but this team will not be managed. Irv MVP.
