Initial brainstorming notes for the RPG party

It was a very close battle, but in the end, we've all made it in deciding the major features of our party members. Go team! I already developed some rough draft ideas, I think yall should check out what I'm thinking at the moment as I'm further envisioning their actual look -- feedback will be accounted for!

DND-style "Magical girls" --> unique magic transformation powers -> fey/fairy source? -> ties to big cosmic force/sidekick is mentor/nonhuman sidekick, maybe an actual fairy as the sidekick/mentor? (like luna and artemis). not explicitly called "magical girls" in-universe, just evoking the spirit as close as possible.

"Kitsune sorcerer" - temp name. "Inkwell"

• Probably the most tenured magical girl, leader of trio, most responsible but clumsy and not used to being a leader, gotta fight the BBEG together anyway

• She is directly aided by the fairy sidekick, a Zelda-style fairy who acts as the spokesperson for the fey god-force. Name "Proxy"? lol

• combination of a magical girl and a fantasy wizard. dress should be cute and colorful but also utilitarian, maybe changes color upon summoning fey power.

• consider getting her a hat? don't wanna cover her ears tho so maybe just a hair decoration

• thinking orange fur, green accents? good combo of colors

• what's a good tool? a wand? Maybe to keep with the kitsune motif it creates a large magic brush like a paintbrush reminiscent of a fox tail? is she an artist? that sounds cute

"Dragonkin sharphooter" - temp name. "Ashley"

• Used to be a bigass magic dragon king, but got recently cursed by the BBEG, had her magic power stolen, and made small humanoid. joins the party for angry revenge and to restore her glory

• Obviously draconic and has unusual complexion, red/purple skin and lizard eyes? and angry sharp teeth definitely. how muscular/big should she be?

• Is deprived from magic ability and thus can't use it even when buffed from Proxy and the god-force. that just emboldens her with their "armor", aka the cute colorful quasi-magical girl garb (probably finds it embarrassing)

• Resident tomboy, do I wanna make her outfit a minidress with skirt? or just shorts? tbh it might not matter bc she has giant gun

• Uses a large bowgun out of Monster Hunter, combo of crossbow and anti-material rifle. maybe wanna also design it to look like a lance (ngl I kinda wanted Lancer/Dragoon to win somewhere just for the irony of a dragonslayer-style dragon girl, maybe this is my tribute/consolation prize haha)

"Healer mimic" - temp name. "Ordinary"

• She's a magic-feasting monster mimic who attempted to get close to "Inkwell" and devour her, took the form of "a perfectly ordinary human mage girl", but got unwittingly inducted by the fey god-force to joining them not knowing she's a mimic, now is stuck having to pretend looking like a human (either bc she's worried about being caught and smited, or she sees bigger fish to fry later on)

• Ostensibly human but not quite -- probably has very pale/grey skin, awkward proportions, hair with weird, vaguely squishy texture. eyes are covered up by her bangs, probably has a goofy smile where her tongue's sticking out (constant hint at her mimic nature). Has a very strange accent.

• prolly has angry murder tentacles under her dress, watch out. need to come up with further things to maybe evoke the idea of a normal chest-disguising mimic

• plain clothing normally but actually looks cute (if still a bit awkward) in a quasi-magical girl dress (guessing I should make her blue-accented just to round out the RGB theme we got going lol)

• Her "healing" powers presumably came from when she cannibalized a different healer some time in the past and stole their powers, probably bc they were the easiest prey, why they don't have more offensive stuff. idk if she'd be the one to use a staff or wand, probably casts with her bare hands.
