This is why you see alot of people talk about the “Brooke effect”. This is the exact thing that Kelly was talking about. Abby taking a kid, gave them love and attention, and when they get older, tired, and burned out, she moves on to another favorite. Brooke was her favorite and after she burned her out, she moved on to Maddie. She burned Maddie out, so now she’s ok to Brynn.

Regardless, Abby clearly feels like Maddie is getting away from her and Maddie was supposed to catapult Abby to success but that’s not exactly how it worked out…
