It's really fun to make simple backgrounds for such portraits. Foremost it creates suitable atmosphere for each character and race.
Also on the neck of the Ancient you can see tattoo - it is a way map to their home world - planet Reagkhay. Unfortunately planet was destroyed a long time ago, and these tattoos are just a symbol of sacred memories, which Gkhalarers keeps through ages.
