Monday Lockdown Discord Hangout

Hey, all! Things are tense right now, so I thought we could do an extra hangout this week to check in with each other, talk, vent, etc. I know we always do Foreign Food Friday, which is fun every week, but during this pandemic, it's time to come together even more. 

Here's the plan: Tomorrow (Monday), at 3 pm Eastern (2 pm Central, noon Pacific, 8 pm UK, 9 pm Germany, etc), I'll be in the Discord VC, and anyone who wants to can join me there. I expect it to last at least an hour, and as of now, there's not really any structure planned, other than general conversation. I plan to keep it light and positive as best I can, even if that means telling ridiculous stories from my childhood again. You know I'll do it...

Foreign Food Friday will continue to be a thing at 2:30 pm Eastern every Friday, because that's still fun and definitely won't change. :)

If you're not on Discord and you want to be so you can join us for this hangout, please DM me and I'll send you the invite. You'll need a Discord account, but once you have that, it's super easy to join: I'll send the invite, you'll make a post in the introduction channel to let me know you've joined the server (and to let the rest of us know what to call you), and I'll assign your Patron role so you can come hang in the VC. Easy!

As always, hanging in the VC does NOT obligate you to talk. We have lots of people who come to Foreign Food Friday and just listen while keeping themselves muted. The only one who HAS to talk is me, for obvious reasons. :) The text channel is always going, so you can listen to me babble and use the text chat to ask questions or make observations if you want to. Or you can just listen and not participate at all. There's no pressure; this is just some relaxing group socialization during this stressful time.
