It is important to make sure you put the contents of the updater zip into the same folder where VaM.exe is located. I have also seen people try to update versions earlier than 1.9 with this updater which does not work. So make sure you have clean install of 1.9 release, and then try to apply he patch.

HI Folks; The updater crash :/ Is there a way to get files an other way ?

VAM's bottleneck is the CPU (which handles all the physics), not the graphics card. I've yet to see a tutorial explaining all the settings and how to optimize them. All i can suggest is to turn everything down, and then start turning stuff up until you can't comfortably go any further.

New supporter here. This is seriously a awesome piece of software. The physics/Softbody is stellar. Just have a request not sure if your working on it. Any Chance we could get Futa/Shemale body types some day?

What kind of support does VAM have for 3D environments? I'm aware of 3D real world scanning tools that export into .obj and .ply files. Will this be able to add some realistic environments to VAM?

Could imagine if someday they got the virtamate software to run electonically in tandem with a realistic feeling mannequin of some sort? whoa...THATS the future. real womens reign of terror will be over. we could create custom women and then essentially physically be with them. also clothing wise how about a corporate power suit for the women. a little above the knee skirt etc. this software you created is waaay ahead of others. I hope its sold as a finished version at some point. anyways amazing job. maybe the ability to type and have a female voice come out like one does on youtube videos.

It sounds like you're running the teaser version, and you're used to running a higher-tier version. Make sure you've entered the latest key.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but didn't this game have a "Load scene" button before? It now only has a "Load built in" that lists built in scenes. Am I missing something obvious?

You must install the contents of the zip into the folder where VaM was installed for the patcher to work. This should be alongside the VaM.exe. Also patcher will only work if you have 1.9 installed as a base. It will not patch older releases. If you still have trouble, try a fresh install of 1.9 and then extract the patcher to new dir and run the updater.

Patch does not work: "The remote server returned an error: 404 (not found)" Also, the patch program should not simply close itself after it has done its job, but show a proper error message instead. (The above comes from the log-directory)

The download links for all the patches just lead to a blank page, even after disabling peerblock and vpn. Edit: Nevermind, had to open internet explorer to get it. Thankfully was able to close internet explorer again after a few seconds.

Fixed it with a 2 reinstall. I loaded the unpatched game in free and played the opening scene then added my creator key. then patched.

Patching failed. Had to reinstall a fresh. Patching worked. However..... my Creator mode isn't coming up. I put the key back in from 1.9 release, it says accepted but the game wont give me the option to enter creator mode.

One of 2 ways. You can select the Hip control and in UI select the possessable checkbox at top. The other way is to select the Hip control and manually link it to [Camera Rig] -&gt; tracker #.

Make a clean install of 1.9. Then install patcher zip contents into same folder. VaM_Updater.exe and config files should be sitting in same directory as VaM.exe. Then run VaM_Updater.exe to patch to 1.9.0.3.

I suggest trying a clean install of 1.9 version. Then unzip the patcher into same directory and try again. I'm not sure what might be the issue as I have not seen that.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I'm so noob. How do I get the hip control point to attach to my 3rd tracker? I don't see any option to make it into the green sphere. Help this noob out?

i could use audio and web browser on 1.8 ver. but i cannot use them on 1.9 ver. with 1.9.03 patch. 1.9.03 launch run appear message of unlaunched error occuer . someone tell me how to use web browser.

I'm still not able to get the patch to run. Zip contents are int he right place, disabled anti-virus and Windows Smart Screen. Getting "unhandled error occurred / restart updater error. :(

Hopefully sorted it, IOLO System Mechanic kept on deleting it as it claims it is a Trojan infection !!! Added now as an allowed exception.

Yes been meaning to convert that to new param system which allows targeting with triggers.

Hi do not normally have problems but the patch exe file is not visable to patch the programme on my VR PC. Downloaded it on my laptop and extracted it no problem file is there. Copied to a usb drive and then transferred it to my VR PC still no exe file any ideas ???

I'm not sure I can help you. I don't have these controllers and I'm also using Valve's own OpenVR support built right into unity + their helper package. I'm using the latest version. It sounds like there is incompatibilities they are still trying to work out with these controllers.

Hello, I have a PIMAX VR system with NOLO and the controllers do not work in openvr but work in the menu SteamVR and vice versa if I put the system in SteamVR Beta the controllers work in VaM but not in SteamVR (STEAMVR / property / Betas /. ..)

once i get to the point where i can see the progress bars the updater crashes ( even as admin ) the updater log has this error: [P.A.T.C.H. - 7/10/2018 7:17:54 PM] The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

I wanted to give people control and current updater does not give option of skipping update. I hope to add option for that and then it will become new way to launch.

It doesn't unless you installed VaM in an admin protected area like desktop or program files.

Run the updater with admin perms. Shift-Right-Click and Run as Admin. You should get UAC prompt. It should finish quickly.

Really need to fix the issue with it needing to be run as administrator. Why would your updater require admin permissions???

New updater is awesome, as everyone seems to be here to say! It might as well just run when we start the software like how other games and programs do ... "Starting up. Checking for updates. Updating. Starting" kinda deal!

Loving how easy it is for patches now! Would be real sweet if it was like that for major updates as well instead of re downloading the whole thing ea month and moving save files after.

This would allow using external AI to drive VaM and get feedback data out of VaM as well.
