Happy V-Day! 1.5.1 Release Is Ready
Added 2018-02-15 02:49:02 +0000 UTCPatch Download (must have 1.5 installed 1st):
The download is large (1.1GB) because of how assets are organized and the large number of fixes made. I plan to correct this for smaller future patches.
WeTransfer: WeTransfer link
Mega: mega.nz link
Wasabi: Wasabi link
Full download links available on main project overview page. I have replaced 1.5 links with 1.5.1 because 1.5 should not be used given the number of bugs!

Me too i found how embed sounds works with triggers , but i want to put my own sounds into the game , i dont know if its possible , (as well as emissive pannels ,where you can put your own gifs, or other pictures from your computer path ), it will be great to put a sound in a folder an associate it to a sound trigger into te game . (sorry im a bit messy with my english )
2018-02-18 00:13:55 +0000 UTCAny tutorial anywhere for how to get sound into a scene? Looked for hours at the sample scene but still no idea how you do it. Cant see any way to attach a sound file to the person's head.

2018-02-17 15:40:53 +0000 UTCYes there is a plan for me to do that but it comes with a few complications. One of them being not all the assets I'm using work on the windows platform. Microsoft didn't make it easy to use MVR - I actually have to compile and release a completely different package!

2018-02-17 00:44:15 +0000 UTCWow thank you that says a lot! Hey I was around in the Amiga days. I drooled over those but was never fortunate enought to get one! I had a TI-99/4a which got my programming career started!

2018-02-17 00:43:08 +0000 UTCGood suggestion. Eventually when I have community sharing site, I'm hoping to avoid DMCA takedowns, however, by making all image/sound/etc. data external to the save file...
Meshed VR
2018-02-17 00:40:58 +0000 UTCYou can report bugs here. Making a community post is best way. I do sometimes miss comments. I'll be adding some kind of bug report system before too long, because you are right it is hard to keep track!

2018-02-17 00:39:33 +0000 UTCQuick question, I'm using windows mixed reality through steam. It's mostly fine , but the controllers have a few issues. Is there a plan to include native windows mixed reality? Edit. I've sorted my control issues. Operator error!.. I wasn't pressing the thumb buttons correctly! :)
2018-02-17 00:02:14 +0000 UTCThis is without doubt the best software I have ever used! :) I'm old enough to have witnessed 80s things like Amiga 500. I've always dreamed of VR to this standard. Incredible!
2018-02-16 23:55:51 +0000 UTCOk, that's strange. I'm sure I used the WeTransfer link for 1.5.1 patch but I got the whole 1.5 as far as I can tell. The archive is called 1.5.1 .zip. Now downloading 1.5.1 patch .exe. No idea what's going on since the sound URLs seemed to be working. Maybe the full version was posted instead of the patch? Whatever, it seems right now.

2018-02-16 04:23:51 +0000 UTCThe .zip file for 1.5.1 I downloaded was right about 3GB. Just sayin'.

2018-02-16 04:17:44 +0000 UTCHey Meshed, 1.5 and 1.5.1 is excellent. I really enjoy the performance iprovement. In previous version I had to wait ages until game loaded, now it's up to 5 times faster! I do have one question though - what is your recommended channel for bug reports and feature requests? Patreon? Trello? Email? I get the feeling you are getting hit with too many messages in too many channels and you may eventually miss something or get too many duplicated bug reports/feature request (which for me - I do some coding/modding myself - is extremally annoying)...
2018-02-15 23:06:40 +0000 UTCGreat patch! All good and I've been using the desktop mode since the 1.5 release! Works fast and smooth and looks awesome on my 40" 4k monitor. So far great for making faces with quick access to pics on thr pc.

2018-02-15 18:19:34 +0000 UTCOkay thanks, and I'll try this very likely later today or tommorow, so please check back here as I will say if I was able to get the patch going... Oh and I am already enjoying the updates very much !!! Do you have tutorials anywhere I may have missed for doing creation stuff ? UPDATE : Success and thanks for the wonderful VR savyness and sexyness WOW this is only gonna get better !!!

2018-02-15 18:15:14 +0000 UTCPoint it to the folder that holds VaM.exe. It should be named Release1.5 unless you renamed it.

2018-02-15 17:35:41 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I cannot fix this. All the web browsers in the game are actually running in an external process and they create their own, non-position audio that is not integrated with Unity game engine. This is the only good web browser in the Unity asset store, and not something I have access to fix. I plan to add embedded Video Panel at some point, but that requires direct access to the video files so is not going to work with a lot of sites.
Meshed VR
2018-02-15 17:35:02 +0000 UTCIf I use RhythmAudioSource and a trigger and reload it looses the clip location (its blank) if its local and not emmbeded. I have to delete the trigger and set it up again. It is still listed under Audio tab. So I would check your actions under the trigger to see if its similar.
2018-02-15 16:23:40 +0000 UTCHow do I find which folder has the proper files for updating patch 1.5.1 please ? Need to know some specifics as to what name the folder would be called because I can't seem to update until I tell the update where to go !

2018-02-15 15:46:33 +0000 UTCBug fixes, it's OK, we still love you no matter the bugs present.

2018-02-15 13:24:02 +0000 UTCanother thing i have noticed is that all sounds playing fine over my integrated earphones from oculus rift except the tv. The tv sound is playing over my normal speakers.. i have to set windows output to my headset to hear tv sound on the earphones too.
2018-02-15 12:56:51 +0000 UTCI didn't realize drive:// was an option in Unity URLs? Currently if the URL does not start with http: or file: VaM assume the URL is a relative path and add file:///. on the front. I'll do some experiments.

2018-02-15 12:34:43 +0000 UTCI have loaded 2 different audio files via local url in the "scene audio control". Each audio file has its own collision trigger and it works in the scene. But after loading the scne only one of the 2 audio files is playing (the second added, newest one)... all 2 files are still in the scene audio control and also playing with the test button.. the remove button is also not working for me.. any ideas
2018-02-15 12:33:36 +0000 UTCI had VAM crash on me due to the physics spazzing out and stretching the girl to oblivion. Its not surprising however it revealed a bit of an issue. I have made a walking animation using a bunch of sync force atoms controlled by one cycle force atom (unrelated) and I was recording an animation of her moving from one side of the light to the other. probably 30m. When I finished the recording she shot back across to the other side of the space clipped into the ground and spazzed out. When I tried to hard reset VAM crashed (Here are the files : <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NkaIUkmzOPzt7wlP4Ynxx-9DwrW8_bcp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Crash Dump Files</a>

2018-02-15 08:29:55 +0000 UTCHey Meshed! Im having great fun with 1.5.1 so far! figuring out how the triggers to animations work is certainly easier with your test folder included!

2018-02-15 08:23:56 +0000 UTCBTW these were working saved paths in 1.5 too
Goose.k
2018-02-15 07:45:47 +0000 UTCThe path was drive://. will try with the saves sub dir method. Means all old scenes with paths don't work
Goose.k
2018-02-15 07:29:19 +0000 UTCTake a look at Saves/scene/Tests/LocalWWW/test1.json. Do the image panels in there work for you? If so, you can use them as example of how to do it. The path must start with root of where you installed VaM. If you want to use files outside of VaM install, you have to use the file:///path method. I'll check on the hair morphs. I did look at this, although I thought the bug was on Sim hair morphs which I know were fixed. I did not test Leslie hair.
Meshed VR
2018-02-15 07:23:12 +0000 UTCGood advice! Thanks!
Meshed VR
2018-02-15 07:20:19 +0000 UTCUnfortunately the hair morphs ( Leslie) are still not being saved. Also unable to load local images in image panels

2018-02-15 05:21:36 +0000 UTCSO good thanks for all the hard work! I do have a plea for MeshedVR, for next release, please do one of the following: 1. Hire proper testers 2. Get volunteers for testing 3. Have an open beta branch for people to stress test I've watched the patron count go from 3100 to 3400 in between 1.5 and 1.51. That's 300 potential bad experiences from the large amount of bugs in 1.5. You have a great community of patrons willing to give not only money, but time and expertise. Use this to your advantage! Having a good test / release cycle will save you both time and headaches, and your users will have a much better experience.
2018-02-15 04:16:36 +0000 UTCThe architect enters the matrix... and everyone takes several steps back! Look forward to seeing what you create :)

2018-02-15 04:00:34 +0000 UTCNow that 1.5.1 is complete, I'm going to take a few days off from development and actually play around in VaM myself! I just don't get much time to be creative and have fun. Hopefully I won't hit too many bugs! :)
Meshed VR
2018-02-15 03:35:20 +0000 UTCYou are incredible sir!
2018-02-15 03:31:50 +0000 UTCWe are screaming like little girls man, little girls in a giant, never ending candy store

2018-02-15 03:14:49 +0000 UTClol, yes! Give yourself permission to up that number!:) Its official, 1.5.5! I always wondered what the different colors meant, thank you! I will look there now.

2018-02-15 03:14:11 +0000 UTCOMG I nearly gave out a girly scream when I read 'AnimationPattern can now be a target of triggers'! Ive been waiting for this for ages! So many ideas I can finally try out!

2018-02-15 03:13:10 +0000 UTCTake a look here: <a href="https://trello.com/b/LDlEpfvk/virt-a-mate-public-plans" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://trello.com/b/LDlEpfvk/virt-a-mate-public-plans</a> Look at the 1.5.1 Completed list. The things in green are tweaks. The things in red are bugs. And the blue items are features. 1.5.1 is jam packed! Maybe it should be 1.5.5?
Meshed VR
2018-02-15 03:12:25 +0000 UTCSo what are these 15 tweaks? Is it the stuff in progress?
RossNutkinChan
2018-02-15 03:04:12 +0000 UTCBrilliant. Thank you. Love your work!
Andrew
2018-02-15 03:02:35 +0000 UTCIt amazes me how much you get done so quickly! Bugs are to be expected when a project develops so fast. What's unexpected is how fast you fix them! Keep up the good work... but maybe take a bit of a rest first!

2018-02-15 03:01:52 +0000 UTCYou rock! Time to unleash creativity!!!
