Maya - Trapped In Loops WIP video
Added 2025-05-14 04:50:28 +0000 UTCFelt like promoting my new friend Maya who I met on Sunday! Some of her go-to things are wild improvisational dancing and cords/ strangulation for some reason, both of which are featured in this WIP clip for my song Trapped in Loops.
I did the animation in Procreate Dreams and actually started from a place of Maya's own videos which include text and unusual framing/ collage frames.
Today while riding on the bus from Long Beach back to San Pedro, I had the inspiration to treat the outside of the frame like the Chuck Jones' Looney Tunes classic Duck Amuck or meta textual issues of Grant Morrison's Animal Man comic. Hopefully I'll get to finishing the entire song vid, which is definitely the hardest part of any creative endeavor- far easier to make a cool 15 seconds and leave it as that.
