Analog Potpurri
Added 2025-02-23 14:03:58 +0000 UTCAt Xmas I passed on my digital camera to my daughter Maggie, and haven’t replaced it yet being that all $ is currently going to rent, food and the like. But now that we’re past the annual dead zone between Nov-Feb people are beginning to want new photos, new promo material, and I think this year is gonna be one of those where I feel like doing everything on disposable cameras, instax minis and Polaroid. Between all the AI projects, writing, video editing, animation and music making I’m super sick of looking at screens.
Tbh I haven’t shot Polaroids or instax mini in years, but my YouTube channel started around that to the point I got randomly recognized in public a few times as “that Polaroid guy” 😅. The cost was prohibitive, and until I started selling a lot on my Ebay store, it wasn’t worth having all these extra Polaroids floating around in my apt.
The newer people I’m shooting were found via Backstage, an actors site, so fingers crossed it’s a different mentality of people who want to be in images!
