…by way of LA Harbor. I’ve fully moved to San Pedro, CA which is the bottom bit of Los Angeles where the Port of LA is- cruise ships, container ships, a big ol WW2 era battleship, a marina in my backyard with hundreds of little schooners and yachts.
I made the move pretty much because I came to the end of my AZ life- divorce, inability to get the jobs I’d been pursuing, career plateau, generally being worn out by the weather and the people of the Phoenix metro. Opportunities kept presenting themself in LA and as it worked out, I got the specific photography teacher job in LA right off the bat that I’d been pursuing since 2008 in AZ. ANd it’s 4 miles from my home.
Prior to the move, I’d built up a huge amount of new works with art models, but even in the last 2 weeks I’ve been able to shoot with a couple travelers including Maria KN, as seen above.
Having a stable job with freetime to do my Patreon, a backlog of new work that hasn’t been shown anywhere else, and the ability to make new zines means that this Patreon is back on track and should have regular Saturday sets/ zine publications with zero delays. All the big stuff of the move and starting work is out of the way and I’m thrilled to still have this outlet where nothing needs to be censored or tailored towards an algorithm!
Whoever you are, wherever you are, have a great day!
