Cursed Arena [47x30]

Welcome back Fellow Darkish!

The February Poll saw a clear victory for an Arena!

You gave us many interesting suggestions, and we tried to include as many as possible in this Map!

You wanted an Arena that had strong "Final Boss Vibes", in an "ancient and climatic" atmosphere.

You asked for a Portal, that the theme was about the elements, with elevation changes, obstacles and cover.

We added up all these requests and the result is Cursed Arena, an ancient structure, where religious, spiritual and combat rituals could take place, but now corrupted and devastated by dark forces.

The remains of the structure are lifted, torn from the ground by evil and mysterious forces, and stairs and large creepy trunks create a platform game where players can engage in dynamic clashes.

What creatures will be waiting for you in the middle of the Arena?

MAP DESCRIPTION:

Cursed Arena is a corrupted area, where mysterious forces have invaded a small and ancient amphitheater.

Large thorny roots have enveloped everything and an evil force flows and pulses under the bark, giving a disturbing vitality to the plants.

The large worked floors of what could have been a rich square are now a disjointed set of ruins and rubble.

The giant brambles that infest the whole area and some stairs still standing allow you to explore, paying attention not to fall below, the various debris.

Below the remains of the Arena, there is the forest of Brambles that has suddenly grown lifting the entire structure.

NOTES:

• The Cursed Arena is, as your request, full of obstacles and divided into many small areas.
• Summoners, necromancers, packs of monsters with their Alpha, this Arena lends itself to different styles of combat against many different entities.
• The area is cursed and corrupted, which allows you to exploit multiple environmental debuffs and buffs
• The branches seem alive and endowed with bad intentions. They could block the feet of the players who pass over them carelessly
• The Portal present in some versions can be exploited as a classic spawn of enemies, but not only. It could, for example, be a escape portal from Cursed Arena, which you will then have to defend, or you may have to prevent monsters from entering. The narrative possibilities are really many!
• The luminous statues can be simple decorations, but they could be hostile, attacking the player or acting as nuclei of enemy power.
• The statues, in the versions, are the energy points of the Portals. You might, for example, have to activate them to open the portal, or destroy them to close it.

We really like it and we are thinking of expanding this cursed and dark setting with some other map, so as to better explore these beautiful dark atmospheres.
