Leonie the Castellan, One antagonist against the Ordo Mediare

At the height of the Ordo Mediare’s expansion, when they had the largest number of armed sisters, they were stationed in a rented castle where most of the armed sisters lived.

The current castellan of the castle is Leonie, the daughter of the previous castellan who once supported the Order. Unlike her father, Leonie believes that having such an armed Ordo in this era undermines the authority of secular rule. She wants to drive the Ordo out, reclaim the castle, and build her own power base.

The legends don’t specify which noble house Leonie belongs to, but it’s clear she’s loyal to Aquitaine’s pro-English faction. In the tales, she’s usually referred to simply as ‘Leonie of Aquitaine’ or ‘Leonie the Castellan’.
