I like it when small mods are combined into one thematic set while remaining modular, rather than turning into a bulky project. This approach ensures flexibility, easy updates, and better compatibility. Players can choose which modules to use, avoiding unnecessary system load, which is especially important for weaker computers.

This principle is at the core of my work. Now, I want to introduce a new thematic project, where multiple mods are integrated into a single system while preserving customization freedom.

I uploaded the new versions to CurseForge. However, since these are new mods and not updates, it may take a little longer to review and approve. Be patient. At the same time, Little Patrons now have access to download this mod from Patreon. The download link is at the bottom of this post.

Soapy Llama Laundry Service v. 2.2.0
(formerly known as Laundry Service)

This mod was originally developed by ShuSanR. I took his idea after he announced in February 2022 that he would stop modding  the Sims 4 entirely.

Too busy to do the laundry? Does washing and drying take up too much time? Or maybe you live in a small apartment with no space for a washer and dryer? The Soapy Llama Laundry Service mod has you covered! This mod introduces new interactions for laundry baskets, laundry piles, and folded stacks, allowing your Sims to send their dirty laundry to a laundromat for a fee. Once the cleaning time has passed, the clothes will be returned to your Sim’s inventory.

I optimized the mod and changed the name of the laundry. It's now called Soapy Llama, which I think is pretty funny and apt. Since there's almost nothing left of the original mod, I think I might as well remove the old boring name.

Choose from three convenient services:

• 🧺 Standard Wash – around 2 hours (clean & dry)

• ⚡ Express Wash – around 1 hour (clean & warm)

• 🌿 Delicate Wash – around 3 hours (pristine, warm & fragrant)

Functions are available on scattered and folded laundry, both in the world and in the Sim's inventory, as well as on the hamper. The cleaned clothes will be returned to your sim's inventory.

Translations

The strings have been completely revised. All previous translations have been deleted. I have translated all new texts into all possible languages ​​using ChatGPT! If a translation doesn't sound authentic somewhere, please let me know immediately and I will correct it.

Compatibility

There shouldn't be any compatibility problems because the mod doesn't overwrite anything.

Requirements

• Sims 4 Laundry Day Stuff (SP13) pack is required.

• The Lot51 Core Library Script by Lot51 is required.

• You have to allow the scripts in your game settings.

I separated a few additional interactions from the Laundry Service Mod into a separate mod. But I also added a bunch of new features! This includes both normal interactions and some funny unexpected interactions. Have fun with it.

Many of the new interactions will fit perfectly into your stories, especially if you have clean-obsessed Sims. Of course, I am always open to further suggestions.

Additionally, all cheat interactions that were previously only available by default for laundry piles have now been added directly to the hamper. In addition, the cheat category was structured into groups.

New Dirty Sniffer Gameplay Trait

This Sim loves the smell of dirty clothes! Instead of rushing to wash them, they take a deep sniff first. Others may find it odd, but for them, it's pure joy! Gains positive buffs when sniffing dirty laundry. Feels less uncomfortable wearing dirty clothes compared to other Sims

NEW: Self-Service Paid Laundry Lot Trait v. 1.0.0

The new Self-Service Paid Laundry lot trait makes all washing machines and dryers on the lot require payment! Your Sims won’t be able to use them until they flip a coin. Now, they can actively visit a laundromat and wash their clothes in person! You can find this trait in the Lot Challenges.

You can enable this lot trait on rental lots, university lots, or your own business lot and make use of it. The lot owner can also collect the earnings! 💰 Turn your property lot into a profitable laundromat. Your Sims will earn money whenever other Sims use the washing machines and dryers, making it a great way to generate passive income. This feature also works on residential lots, but keep in mind that you will have to pay for using the machines on your own lot, which is pointless since you are essentially paying yourself.

This feature has been tested only on rental lots, business lots, and university lots. Theoretically, you can apply it to any lot. It also works on public venues, such as parks or gyms, where Sims are charged for using the machines. However, since these lots do not have an owner, nobody can collect the earnings. I have not tested whether this works on custom venues owned by your Sim, created by different modders. If you try it, feel free to share your experience!

The Sims on the lot don't get any extra autonomy, otherwise they become obsessed with washing. This is more of a Lot Trait only for Storytellers and if you want washing and drying to cost money.
