Forest Floor Map Assets

105 new map assets and 8 new tiling textures to cover a forest floor.

I'm on a mission to remaster and expand some of our basic map assets, and the forest is the first theme I chose to tackle.

It's undoubtedly a well-travelled setting in most campaigns, and so I wanted to do it justice. Part of that means a lot of color variants in the Patron rewards, and part of that means breaking "forest" down into several different packs.

Last month I released the Forest Fungi, this month it's the Forest Floor, and I also hope to work on a Forest Canopy pack in the future, which will contain all the leafy trees that this pack is lacking. Beyond that, I'd love to make specialized packs for more themes and settings, such as "haunted wood," "feywild," or "Australian bush."

Are there any such themes that you'd like to see? Please leave a comment!

Oh, and I can't let you go without mentioning the eight textures in this pack. These are a mixture of grass, duff, moss, and plant litter. These textures each tile seamlessly - something I'm getting better at making, I think - and are part of a collection that I'm eager to expand.

As I say every time and I mean, I can't wait to see what you make with these! Have fun. :)

I'm curious on that first image you have in the explanation passage? The one below the line 'Are there any such themes that you'd like to see? Please leave a comment!' - It looks really neat, wasn't sure if that was it's own map or something? Great assets and all otherwise!

Great! DD packs are appreciated! Love your art! What is the usual ETA for these kind of DD packs after first release?

+1 - I'd also be interested in DD variants that support the custom-colouring within Dungeon Draft :)

So wonderful – I am mesmerized and have a powerful itch to update all my forest maps using these assets. On suggestions, I'd love to see a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees for the canopy pack, as well as some forest hazards (like spiderwebs, hornets' nests, pits, thorns, burrows, &c.) and some jungle foliage c:

I love this, they are both beautiful and useful. Haunted/dead forest would be great! Could also be used for winter forests, burnt forests and disease-affected forests.

They look awesome! I would also vote Haunted Woods (dead/leafless trees would be awesome, and I imagine some stuff might also work as swamp-y assets as well). As a suggestion - maybe a 'stone' or a 'cliffs and caves' pack? Some stone structures, small cliff sides/chunks, crevices, cave/dungeon openings leading into the ground, etc. I feel like those can be some pretty nice building blocks for maps.

Def haunted woods as I’m gearing up to run CoS. That and I love dark fantasy. Assets look amazing
