Goblin Bigrock

This is the Goblin Bigrock, where a tribe of scavenger goblins gather on the full moon to beat drums, cry at the moon, and otherwise wake up the nearby human settlement. Little do they know, their Bigrock is the thumb of an ancient, slumbering elemental...
I'm still experimenting with a loosely shifted perspective and a square grid, this time by rotating the grid. What do you think? I'm reminded of the perspective in those old, sprite-based Pokemon and Zelda games.
Thanks to you, thie Bigrock is released under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
The look of these is cool, the only downside to it is players going behind larger features on a 2d map. It is a thing on all of these kinds of maps though and has nothing to do with your maps, which are pretty awesome.

I tend to agree when game time rolls around, but shifted perspective is just too dang fun to draw. I'm sure I'll always have a mixture of both. Thank you!

I mean, I prefer standard bird's-eye view, but it's a lovely map and it reminds me of an illustration. Love the blurbs that come with the maps ;)

I really like this and the little fluff added in! I also like the rotated grid, but I feel like it clashes with the perspective of the art. I think if you slightly adjusted the "perspective" on the grid to match that of the art, it wouldn't feel as off and you could still keep the roughly 1" x 1" needed for miniatures.

I like the shift in perspective on this map, especially the difference from the typical isometric view. It's nice to be able to break up the usual map views. Great work as always. π
