COOKIE Egg!

EDIT: Updated the files as some folks were having issues with the Egg! Please re-download the files. There is now an indent on the lower half of the egg, which lines up with the CW on the top half. :) This will make sure you have proper alignment of the frosting!

Hi Cinders!

no they are guaranteed to fit 1:1 but sometimes they can go a little smaller

Tracy Francis

So I'm printing out an egg. I have a baby at 75% and I am printing the egg at 75% but it looks huge for it. Do the eggs for the babies need to be printed smaller?

Angela Farnsworth

It's probably not as fun, but any chance we're getting chocolate chip themed cookie things?

Marti Reusch

Ok! Thanks!

Madison Bilben

Yep

Tracy Francis

can i make this go 50% with a dragon outlining it?

Madison Bilben

I ad this issue printing it with wood, because the material isn't flexible at all once printed it was just so hard to get them together :) Thanks for the tip xx

WishingRose

I'd check the slice before sending it but it maybe could yes, I just dont guarantee itll work as intended :)

Tracy Francis

How small could these go? 25%? I'd love to make Easter Eggs

Stephanie Martin

1:1, so a 100% egg for a 100% dragon

Tracy Francis

What would be the size if we wanted to put a full dragon inside one of them? I have a customer who wants an egg big enough for the full dragon. Thanks!

Ed

maaaayyybeeeee ;)

Tracy Francis

Will you do an Easter cookie dragon? :D We are really loving these.

WishingRose

I did my tests. 60% Baby Dragon fits PERFECT in a 45% egg. 50% was too big and it was sloppy.

PocketPrints 3D

Actually I opened the egg and the baby dragon in the same file (each on it's own plate) and now I understand the designers reply as well. The baby is sort of smaller, but since it doesn't bend up as much a 100% baby won't fit into a 60% egg. It might fit in an 80% egg though. I think I have an 80% crystal egg laying around somewhere and they are sized roughly the same. So I'll give that a shot with a baby. Good luck if you do try it!

Ashley Florack

I understand what you are asking and I actually came here to get the same information. The baby dragon is significantly smaller than the full size dragon so a baby @ 100% doesn't also need an egg @ 100%. Maybe the egg should be something like 60% for 100% baby? That's where I'm going to start. I'll come back and let you know how a baby fits in a 60% egg. If it fits at all LOL.

Ashley Florack

Yep! Its very big! Most folks dont print 100% eggs :)

Tracy Francis

Or you can work on tuning your filament and tolerances! I promise it'll help!

Tracy Francis

Just gave one of these to my neighbor's little girl, she Loves It! she also got a crystal spinner to play with. Thank you for making these

Voidstarchan

I have found that is i use a small amount of candle wax on the threads it help 100%

Mark Tuttle

mine says at 100% its going to take 1 day and 4 hours just to print the bottom of the egg is that correct? am i printing too big?

Katy

Upsized top by .5 percent and it fits perfectly now. I’m going to downsize the bottom a half percent to match everything up. The flow is fine.

Peggy B

I'd recommend checking your flow!

Tracy Francis

i just printed the egg at 60% the top is super tight and hard to get aligned properly. I'm going to try to upsize just the top by 1 or 2 % and see if that helps. Anybody else experience this and have feedback that might save me experimentation? This has been a FABULOUS month to be a member!! Thanks for all you do!

Peggy B

These are amazing! So excited ♥️🩷

K and K

you are so amazing at designing new and fun things! I'm so glad we are a part of your Patreon!!

Over the Brook Gaming

This. Is. INCREDIBLE!

Kamali

Waking up to this just made my day, thank you

Sheila Sjeu - Mooi3D

The cookie series are good for more than just Valentine's day. Next Christmas and other holidays and birthdays. Very nice indeed.

Gerhard Grobler

Ok! Have fun with that :)

Tracy Francis

I'll have to do my own tests. That doesn't make sense. The babies are smaller than the adults by default.... Yeah the baby would fit in the egg, but it's going to be too big.

PocketPrints 3D

if you print a 60% dragon you print a 60% egg, 1:1

Tracy Francis

I'm having a hard time understanding "1:1". The Babies and Adult are different sizes. I get a 1:1 of the adult, but if I print this at the same size it's too large for the baby. I scaled the baby down to 60%. So do I do 60% of 50% (ie 36%) or what?

PocketPrints 3D

they are 1:1 :)

Tracy Francis

I currently have 60% babies being Printed. What scale would be used for that? is 50% for the "Full Sized" baby dragon?

PocketPrints 3D

Thank you!! ☺️

Doods

50%!

Tracy Francis

I am new and this will be my first egg. Can I ask what percentage you use to fit the baby dragons. Is it 50%? Thank you!

Doods

You can scale down for the baby if needed but the scaling is correct. :) It's a general scaling to account for most all the dragons, including winged

Tracy Francis

Im a little confused on the ratio for Baby Dragon vs Adult. It says "REMEMBER the eggs to baby/adult dragon ratio is 1:1", but wouldnt it be different for Baby/Adult? They are huge at 100%

Michael Barbatelli

Adorable!!

K Vincent

This is amazing!!!

PocketPrints 3D

Thank you

sNp

Oh my Gosh I am so excited

sNp
