Since version 2.0 I've discovered how to use a script to organize the interactions differently without overriding them! I present to you the next generation of Better Pie Menu!

Update Notes Version 2.2.3

With the game patch 1.90 from 26th July 2022, EA has changed (and improved) the menu cake structure in some places, so my reorganization is unnecessary (especially in the debug menus). At these points I have now adjusted my mod or taken some out of the mod again. This version is also compatible with SCCO. There is no longer a special version for SCCO users. (Because SCCO overwrites some menu items on the kitchen devices, you won't see all the effects of my Better Pie Menu mod on those devices though).

Update Notes Version 2.2.2

There were other complaints about the non-comparabilities with the SCCO mod and/or my PSO mod. Now comes another small fix. This version should hopefully fix all problems. If you didn't have any problems before either, you don't need this update. Please note that you only have one mod variant here (not two like in the previous version 2.2.1)!

Update Notes Version 2.2.1

Unfortunately, I recently merged the parts of the mod incorrectly, so something important was missing. As a result, users who don't have my Purchasimg System Overhaul Mod have their computers hung and unable to perform any interactions on the computer. I have now corrected that. Please download the file again and delete the old ones! I also changed something in the folder structure on the PC to make it less noticeable when there are problems like this. Hopefully. Update Notes Version 2.2.0

This month the pie menus for household appliances are updated:

• I could no longer endure this littering of the TV stations. Now it is much easier to find a suitable program, since all channels are conveniently divided into categories. Also, I also categorized all the movies by genre, so now you know where to find a horror movie and where to find a comedy!
• I also organized all the pie menus on the fridges and the stoves and accompanied them with icons. Danger! The menu customization for fridges and stoves is NOT compatible with the SCCO mod! Compatibility with the SCCO mod is not possible and will not be supported in the future!

There are now two versions of the mod: 

• The SCCO compatible version does not include adjustments to the menus on the fridges and stoves. Use this version if you want to use the SCCO Mod. Tested with SCCO version 4.9.1.
• The other version includes additional adjustments to the menus on the fridges and stoves, but is NOT compatible with the SCCO mod! Please only use this version if you are not using the SCCO Mod, otherwise error messages will occur!

Main Mod Description

This mod creates a better overview in the pie menu structure for some objects in the game, e.g. sim, computer, TV, stereo, fridge, stove, mirror etc... The main goal is to make the search faster with suitable icons. In addition, the priority of unimportant folders has been decreased and the priority of the important folder has been increased instead. A few new overcategories were also created on the computer and the sub-folders reorganized.

This mod only overwrites the so-called Pie Menu Category Tuning of some menu categories. Not a single interaction tuning was overwritten! The restructuring is done via a script, so you need to allow scripting in your game settings. Conflicts can only arise with the same mods that also modify the category tuning of the pie menu or also arrange interactions differently through scripts.

Additional Extensions

Since version 2.1.0 there is only one addon for better integration with my Purchasing System Overhaul Mod! But you only need this addon if you actually use this mod!

The addon file should stay in the Better Pie Menu Mod folder! Please do not move the file to other folders! If you don't want to use this addon, please delete it, otherwise errors may occur! However, if you want to use the addon, please unzip it from the archive!

Unfortunately, I often had to read in various forums that my mod is broken because it makes interaction on the PC impossible. Yes, yes, unfortunately that happens when people don't read the instructions and then start bitching and scolding instead of saying thank you. It's frustrating. You know what I mean... To counteract this nonsense I have now packed the addon in an archive. So now it's foolproof. The people who don't read the manual don't have to do anything anymore (before they would have had to delete the addon if they didn't use the corresponding mod). But vice versa, the users who want to use these addons need to extra extract the addon files first. I'm sorry for these small inconveniences! But what else can we do? One should be patient with such people and show consideration for them...

Compatible but Changing

The following mods do not have any compatibility issues, but will cause the menus to look different than intended (only for the menus on the kitchen appliances):

• Better Meal Time Menu (More Servings Options) by LittleMsSam

Problems with this mod

FAQ: Since I got the mod, I can't do anything with the computer anymore. The menu has disappeared. If I click on the computer, then everything hangs and then nothing happens.

Answer: You did not follow the installation instructions correctly. This problem will surely arise if you don't have my Purchasing System Overhaul Mod, but you haven't deleted the integration file! Delete this add-on and everything will work as it should. The integration file must also remain in the BPM folder, so do not move it to the PSO folders!

FAQ: Is this compatible with the Plumfruit Mod?

Answer: Yes, but it will be an odd mix of icons from both mods on PC...

FAQ: Is this compatible with the SCCO and PSO mods?

Answer: Yes, the latest Better Pie Menu version is also compatible with Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul mod. There is no longer a special cut-down version for SCCO users. (Because SCCO overwrites some menu items on the kitchen devices, you won't see all the effects of my Better Pie Menu mod on those devices though). You also don't need any compatibility addons for my Purchasing System Overhaul Mod!

Translations

The mod only uses ready-made strigs from the game, so no translations are necessary. The game is immediately available in all languages.

Download & Install

• Extract all files from the zip archive!
• Only unzip the addon if you use it! Otherwise delete the addon!
• Copy the *.package File into you Sims 4 Mods Folder!
• Path: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods
• Please delete all old versions of the mod and addons!
• The use of scripts must be allowed in the game settings!
