Second up in revised designs, we have the Skull Slide Top Box. The request here was to allow the box to be locked closed somehow, so I applied a mechanism that will be quite familiar now, but in a different way.
Yep, those screw closures! Except, all previous examples have had the threaded part split into two, and the ring has effectively clamped those two pieces together. Not so, this time! Instead, the threaded part just provides a place for the ring to attach, and the ring itself blocks the lid opening.

Printing Tips
These parts all print separately, but since they do slot and screw together you'll want to watch dimensional accuracy. The tolerances are pretty generous, though, so don't stress too much :)
Print orientation is like so:
Final Thoughts
This is a great example of coming back to something after the fact and applying new things. Now, I'm not sure if I completely like this better than the original, but it's certainly more functional. And hey, it's 3D printing, we can just choose which one we want and make it exist :)
